I absolutely love the idea of making my own lotions or lip balms. So I was so excited when I was able to review a Make your own Lip Balm and Hand lotion kit!!! This product is from the SKS Home Website, where they have these Make Your Own kits and more!

I received it in the mail and me and my son were very excited to get started! We decided to make the lip balm first, which I am glad that we did, that can be messy!! It comes with little plastic bulbs that you are suppose to use to “suck” up the liquid lip balm and squeeze it into the lip balm containers. Those simply did not work for us. Everytime we tried to use them, the lip balm dried in them making it impossible to squeeze into our containers. So we found another way, we used our fingers! Much more fun! Next we did the lotion, which was way more easier to do and not so messy at all.

The only things I did not like about this kit was that none of the bottles were labeled to tell me what was what, I just had to guess! Also, when I opened the packaged, it looked as though something might have leaked out, not sure what though.

Overall, me and my son had a blast making our lip balms and lotions! He is giving them away to his cousins when we see them tomorrow! This was a very fun activity to do with your kids and it allows them to be very creative. We loved it!
