This post is about How Vitamins Make ME Feel Better. A few years ago, I did not take vitamins. The only vitamins I did take, were prenatal vitamins, but that was all. However, the prenatal vitamins I did take then, were Nature Made. They have always been and still are my number one choice in vitamins.
Well, for those few years, I have researched and really found out why it is so important to take your vitamins, daily. There are so many advantages to doing it, I just could not avoid it any longer. I went out and bought Fish Oil Caplets, Vitamin D, CQ10, and of course, more of my prenatal multi + DHA vitamins because I we are ttc again π
With the combination of vitamins I take on a daily basis, I feel MUCH better. I have not only more energy to do the things I have to do but most importantly, the things that I WANT to do, with my kids. I feel healthier and I can think much more clearly. My head is not so foggy feeling and my thoughts are more clear. I just feel healthier.
I think the main reason it took me SO long to take vitamins on a daily basis was that I was so overwhelmed with all the vitamins out there. I was seriously overwhelmed! There are so many and deciding which ones are best for ME, was too time-consuming, or so I thought.
A few tips that helped me not be so overwhelmed were:
Talk to your physician or pharmacist. Ask them for their recommendations and what dosages would be best for you. This takes an enormous amount of stress off your shoulders if you do. It really narrows it down for you.
Definitely do your research. As mentioned above, I did this. I researched the heck out of vitamins. I wrote down my symptoms and what I wanted to gain from my vitamins, then I researched it. A couple of places to start would be of course google, but also visit FamilyDoctor.org for credible, physician-reviewed information. Also try Nature Made’s Vitamin Assessment Tool, which is another great resource.
Always look for quality third-party endorsements such as the United States Pharmacopeia (USP). Finding this mark on a dietary supplement label helps to ensure that the supplements you buy, meet the quality standards you expect.
Those are just a few helpful tips to help you out. They really helped me. I am a much happier, healthier person and I can do so much more with my kids!

It is an energy drink, and my hubby drinks them ALL the dang time. I am trying to get him to stop as drinking those all the time is probably WHY I am not getting pregnant, sigh.

I actually started taking vitamins again today. I’m making my husband take them too. I’m just so tired of feeling tired all the time. π

Unfortunately most of us don’t get enough of what we need in our diets, so supplements really help to make sure we are as healthy as possible, especially important when you are trying to get pregnant.

It is overwhelming when you look at the vitamin aisle in the store, but it makes a difference when I take them.
