What Is The Craziest Thing You Have Done, To Get Someones Attention?

Upon realizing that he has feelings for Rose, his stalker, in Two and A Half Men, Charlie sets out to let her know and ends up catching a glimpse of her getting married. As it turns out, Rose staged the whole marriage in front of an audience of mannequins to make Charlie jealous.

Love can drive us to do some pretty crazy things! I know from experience! The craziest thing I have done, I would have to say, is when me and my boyfriend (who is my hubby now!) were dating. He was sneaking over to my friend’s house, where I was staying the night. I wanted to greet him at the window and open it for him. When I did, I thought I was soooo cool and accidentally slipped off the window sill and fell down onto the floor and really hurt my leg! I was sooo embarrassed! I got his attention alright and some extra snuggle time :)

Scholastic Celebrates 20 Years Of I Spy!

For twenty years, I SPY has engaged, educated and entertained children and families around the world with its uniquely brilliant approach to seek-and-find. The brand is as vibrant and relevant as ever, as kids experience I SPY products on all of the platforms that they love, like the Leapster Explorer and Nintendo DS!

My son received the I SPY Super Challenger Game for the Leapster Explorer, to review and try out. This was a bit over his head, so I played around with it. It is fun. It has a bunch of fun riddles to solve, challenges, matching and brain-teasing stuff. You can also unlock 200 rounds of puzzles and fast paced action games. This is the third I SPY title for LeapFrog Mobile Learning Systems that was Released in celebration of I SPY 20th anniversary year! The previously released games  are, I SPY CHALLENGER and I SPY TREASURE HUNT.

 

Since this is geared towards kids ages 5-9, though my son is 5 but he is still a bit young for most of this game, but did get to enjoy me showing him how to do it and then he got to try it out too. He got a bit bored with it after a bit, because it can be challenging and he is just not too into challenging at the moment!

My Baby Compass Book Review & Giveaway!

My Baby Compass is a series of books that allows parents to record their child’s development through quick and easy checklists. The author of these books, is Kathy Gruhn. She is a retired Speech-Language Pathologist with more than 35 years of experience. She wanted to write a program that empowers parents to know that their child is meeting milestones in their development and what to do if a parent has concerns about developmental disorders such as Autism. Kathy is currently working on the third book which will be out soon too!

I thought this was a great idea, and decided I wanted to read them and review them! What parent doesn’t love recording everything their child does anyways, so this was perfect! I received two books, My Baby Compass Birth to 2 Years and My Baby Compass Two to Four Years.

These books are full of interesting facts about child development and some quizzes too! I love how there is 6 separate check lists in the back of the Birth to 2 Years book. There is a checklist, activities to do with your child and more. It helps assess and enhance your child’s development in these areas:

Speech/language

Hearing

Cognitive/Reasoning

Physical

Vision

Social/Emotional

In the book, Two to Four Years, there is 4 checklists/books with the same development areas, seen above. It is an easy program to help your child think, speak, move and thrive.

The reference manual includes sign language, appropriate vocabulary, helpful nurturing ideas, and pages to record your child’s progress. It also has a guide for what to do if your child is not meeting his milestones, which I thought was very helpful.

I really like the fun activities in this book and the ease of using it. I found nothing confusing about using these books. They are informative and a great resource for you and your little ones.

Very faint and not over powering scent, but it is definitely there. It is more of a light cream, feels like it has more moisture or water in it then normal creams/lotions. It rubs in nicely and absorbs rather quickly leaving your skin soft. I liked it.

Lullabelly Prenatal Music Belt Review

No more stretching ear phone cords over your belly, to get the music down to your baby, the Lullabelly is a music belt, made specifically for pregnant mamas!

Did you know that listening to music with your baby in the womb, can help reduce stress, helps with fetal development and creates a wonderful bonding experience for mama and little one! I had the chance to try this out. Nope, I am not pregnant, but my friend is! So, I called her up and she came over to pick up the Lullabelly to give it a try.

She called me a week later, and this is what she said to me:

It was easy to put on and figure out. It is very comfortable and it adjusts well. It is soft and cushy feeling. Comfortable over clothes and under. It uses a standard audio plug that is compatible with any portable music player, and she really liked that. She downloaded songs on her iPod and put it in the little pocket in the front of the Lullabelly and then used the earphones that the Lullabelly came with to listen to her music. The Lullabelly with the iPod in it, allows for the baby to hear too!

The Lullabelly has a separate volume control, which she said was nice, so that she can control the volume that she was hearing and at the same time, control the music that the baby hears too. She also noted that the maximum volume of the Lullabelly is great, because it only goes so loud. It is just as loud as when you are talking to your baby, so it won’t hurt baby’s little ears!

Though she never wore this out, she liked that she could wear this out, or at least in her car, while driving around running errands. This is machine washable, and washes very easily. To remove the speaker, you just unzip the large front pocket and within the front pocket separate the hook & loop fastener to access the speaker and cord and then you are safe to wash it!

INSTRUCTIONS:

* Simply use the adjustable straps to comfortably secure Lullabelly around your waist (either secured behind the back or easily secured in front and twisted around). Be sure the Lullabelly speaker is facing inwards towards your belly (“This Side Towards Belly” will display on the garment tag).
*Unzip the large front pocket to retrieve the audio plug and volume control dial, and plug the Lullabelly speaker into any portable music player.
*Use the included audio splitter and earphones to listen along to the music. Simply plug the splitter into your portable music player, plug the Lullabelly speaker into one side of the splitter, and plug your earphones into the other side of the splitter.
*Set the volume level on your portable music player, and then raise or lower the Lullabelly speaker with the built-in volume control dial.

This is a great gift for any mom-to-be. Think baby shower gift!! Or, with the holidays coming up, this would be a thoughtful gift for that special mom-to-be and baby!

There Once Was This Coffee Table I Owned…

And like, OMG, it was so awesome! I loved everything about it. It was the best coffee table EVER. Hands Down. The Best!

Even though it had dents in it and  broken glass, it was seriously the best solid wood coffee table of all times…

Seriously, it was!!!

Then there was this other time, like way before the time mentioned above, where I had a oak coffee table. I thought, no way! This is going to go with me EVERYWHERE. I mean everywhere. I will always have this piece of furniture in my home. I will not let anyone use it and if they try, I will swat at them and tell them to leave and never come back, for this was MY oak coffee table, not theirs…

But then, when I thought a coffee table could not get any more awesome-er, they did. Enter the Cocktail Table. Yep, that. And I am forever taken. That table had me at the first cocktail I sat on it. The table makes me feel ever so special, it really does. No other coffee table or oak coffee table could ever be a better piece of furniture than this here cocktail table. EVAH.

What Is Your Dream Vacation?

Even though we did go to Disneyland this Summer for our family vacation (oh it was FUN!), I still long for a really tropical vacation, like Hawaii. I have been there twice, and loved it both times.

Nothing like a tropical paradise! Coconut trees, sunshine, white sand and blue ocean, oh ya! That is my dream vacation, even though I have already been there, only because I know I will probably never go back, because I HATE flying!

I also would not mind visiting Paris, like Blair did, in season 4 of the Gossip Girl. But, I said I HATE flying, so that will probably never happen either, UGH. If I ever get over that, and stop watching shows that have planes crashing to the ground and no one surviving, then yes, I will go!  Oh, and I would need some money too, wouldn’t I…. Whoops ;)

Summer vacations are always a fun blast! In Season 4 of Gossip Girl, Serena and Blair both enjoyed their summer vacay in Paris! When they take this trip, they get to experience the food, culture, fashion and yes, love!!!

Their vacation is filled with excitment, like many summer vacays. Another great episode from Gossip Girl! Hey, while we are on the subject, what is your dream vacation? I would love to know!

I had never heard of  The Shout! Factorys The Angry Beavers before this review. The name sounded silly to me and a bit humorous ;) But, when I received the DVD and watched it with my kids, I liked it and my kids did too.

The Angry Beavers Season 1 & 2 is super funny! It features 26 episodes from the silly shows first two seasons, which makes this a four disc set of pure entertainment and laughs! This also included fan-favorite episodes such as Bummer of Love, Fancy Prance, Food of the Clods and more!
