Oh my goodness, my son is FINALLY out of school for the Summer! Today was his very last day! And yes, I am terribly sad 
Sad because he is growing up! Sad because my little baby boy is a big boy now! If only we could keep them little…
Now that Summer is officially here (well almost!) what do you do? How on earth do you keep your kids happy and busy? Certainly not by watching t.v. and playing video games all day long (that is for winter time...;))…
I get both my babies outside and keep them busy that way. With the wonderful Step2 Swing Set we received to review and a really cool kiddy pool hubs bought for the kids, my kids stay busy pretty much all afternoon. When they get bored with that, they will ride their bikes or go on an “adventure” with backpacks around our property (with mama watching them ever so closely!!! Hey, I am like that 
).
We are actually in the middle of moving this summer too, so that will keep everyone on their toes and very very busy. I have my kids pack little things and it is VERY helpful to this pregnant mama 
Next month, after all is settled and slows down a bit, we will be taking a trip to the coast, can’t wait. I NEED a vacation desperately, we all do around here! We might even take a couple of family outdoor vacations and go camping! My goodness I have not done that in a LONG time!! I have all the gear, now we just need to plan it! Smores and starry nights, here we come (maybe )!

We will probably go boating, just because that is something I use to do as a child with my family. I remember going on charter boats with my dad, when I was in my teens and just loved it! Or just cruising the lake in a family boat, with a picnic packed and we fished all day long! Oh those were some fun days and days I want my children to be able to experience as well.
Anyways, nothing is written in stone yet, but as soon as we are settled into our new home, we will be doing some fun things I will be sure to share with you all!

It looks like you’re going to have a lot of fun with the kiddos this summer! So far we’ve been to the beach, the lake, and the river. We’re trying to stay cool in the water as much as possible!

My grand kids will be riding their bikes across the street at the bike trail, going to the park, going to the swimming pool and anything else we can find for them. Our library has a great reading program for the summer too.
We love to do outdoor activities as well and try to do a lot of day trips like going to the beach, Great America, county fairs, local parks, etc.
Love the summertime. Great ideas- love camping and spending as much time outside as possible.

Try to keep busy!
We have a sandbox so lots of making starfish in there! LOL…Carter loves that. We dont have any outside playstuff, but will spend lots of time at the park! Just try to stay outside and get all the fresh air! Carter sleeps so well at night after spending time outside running and playing! Wish we lived closer to the park!
Not a lot of plans, just hang at the beach a few times. Your kids sure have some cool toys and I adore camping.
waaah! i’m jealous of anyone with summer plans. i work at resort with a golf course and water park. i don’t get a “summer”

Probably nowhere special, we will try to get to the cabin on Lake Roosevelt. If not, swimming in the kiddie pool in the back!

Looks fun, we have a lot of softball and baseball games going on this summer, we’ll be busy!
We went to the zoo and swimming. I plan to take a lot of road trips and go hiking. My daughter loves to keep busy, the only problem is that she is a planner and i’m more like go wherever I want whenever we go.
We are spending a lot of time with the Grand kids over the summer, going to Kings Island, and just having fun.
I love camping also but a word of warning please make sure you use repellant and do tick checks.I was bit by a tick in the fall in my own yard and diagnosed with lyme disease in april. I am now on 3 different antibiotics and if I go in the sun my skin burns in less then 20 minutes I swear..IT REALLY SUCKS..especially since we just put a pool in last summer.
