DC Super Friends™ Batman Lights & Sounds Trike Review

My little kids love toys that they can ride on. They have several of them, but get tired of them if they don’t have fun little lights and sounds on them. I don’t blame them, that would get boring after a while. Kids need interaction with things and that includes lights and sounds along with their toys.

Fisher-Price has some great toys that allow your child to really interact with them. I love Fisher-Price toys and ALWAYS have. Goodness, as a child most of my toys were Fisher-Price. I still remember my Fisher Price Little People Circus Train, 1960′s Fisher Price Play Family House (no, I was not born when this was made, but did receive it as a gift later on..), Fisher-Price Learning Clock and SO MUCH MORE. Oh my list could go on and on!!!!!!! LOVE.

I was so excited when I was able to review an item from Fisher-Price. My kids were VERY excited!!! We chose the DC Super Friends™ Batman Lights & Sounds Trike, because like I said above, my kids LOVE interactive toys and this one is and is totally cool!!

This came, unassembled, in a big box. I stared at it for a few minutes, wondering how on earth I would put this together with two kids trying to assist me.. To tell you the truth, I wanted my hubby to put it together, but one look at my babies and I KNEW I had to do it right then and there. Can’t let them down!

I grabbed the necessary tools to put it together which were a hammer, battery-powered screwdriver and a block of wood. Next, I laid everything out and opened the instructions. After lots of pounding and usage of the screwdriver it was put together. I have to say it probably took me about 45 minutes to put this together and I was dripping sweat! If I had been alone to do this or if my hubby had put this together, I am sure it would have taken less time.

After it was all put together, I let my kids put the stickers on the trike. They did a good job, I just told them where to put them and they did the rest :) I also have to mention that it does  require 3 AA batteries, so make sure you have those on hand, as they are NOT included. The batteries go in the front of the handle bars and you have to unscrew the lid. Once you place the batteries, you then screw the lid back on and put another piece on top of it, screwing that in as well. So, it is covered pretty good.

It was a gorgeous day outside, so perfect for riding this trike! I had to set the alarm for the kids, because they were already fighting like crazy about who gets to ride it, ugh! So I set the timer for 5 minutes each time. That seemed to work alright. My son rode this first and loved it. The seat on this is adjustable (three different positions), so it can grow with your child. I just adjusted it for his comfort and off he went! The seat is fairly easy to move up or down.

On the center of the handle bars are buttons which make fun, action sounds for the kids, with flashing blinkers and voice phrases from Batman himself, encouraging his little riding heroes to hit the road on exciting adventures!! It is a sturdy trike and is great for any child ages 2-6 years old or up to 60 lbs.

My daughter was next and of course had to bring along her little pony’s for a ride through the park, as she called it, LOL. She and my son both, took turns and went on many great adventures!

The only thing that kept happening is that when the kids pedaled, the pedals would spin out at first and not allow them to get a good take off. We were on black top, so not sure if there was just not enough traction or if something needs to be fixed? I am having my hubby look into that part. But otherwise this is super fun for my kids and they ride it just about every day.

Look at this, all those buttons, my son would love this. I like that it’s lower to the ground, might be safer then a bike.

I love this. It reminds of the Big Wheels that were around when I was growing up. My grandson would have so much fun with this.

  10. Is this a big wheel?! I didn’t think they made those anymore but I loved mine as a kid. I would love to get my youngest (the only one left of my three who could fit on one of these) something like this for Christmas. He’s also just starting to really love superheroes at four!
