Changing baby diapers can prove to be super challenging. Especially when your baby is fussy and moving around a lot! Those little wiggle worms!
When they get older it gets a lot harder to hold them still to change that diaper. When they are new and tiny, to me, it is easier, but still can be difficult at times.
I received the HALO SwaddleChange to check out and try with my new baby boy. It is super soft and plush feeling (made of Velboa fabric), great for new baby skin! I tried this out with my newborn and he seemed to like it. He is still new, so anything that swaddles him, makes him calm down and feel comforted, but he also still cries so much anyways…
The first time I used this on him, he seemed more calm, despite that little frown you see. Those little hands were nestled away, so changing his diaper was a bit easier. But, it is one more step (putting on the SwaddleChange) that you have to make, in order to change the diaper, so I wanted to mention that. But, it does make changing baby’s diaper less stressful and I can see how this will be super helpful when my boy is a bit older and wants to grab EVERYTHING! Can’t wait to try it out then!
The SwaddleChange features an attached and adjustable swaddle wrap for soothing newborns during diaper changing (and yes, it really does that!), and keeps older babies’ hands and bodies “under control” while lying on the pad for changing. The changing pad cover fits most contour changing pads (up to 17″ x 34″) with elastic all around and ample gussets for a secure fit. It’s ideal for infants from birth to one year of age and available in cream, sage, blue and pink. We got the blue!
This is easy to wash too. Simply throw it in the wash with like colors and tumble dry on low heat (just remember to close the fastener strips on the swaddle wrap before washing to prevent it from attaching to other items in the wash). The SwaddleChange has been awarded the PTPA (Parent Tested Parent Approved) Seal of Approval.
I also wanted to mention that I don’t have a changing pad to attach this to, so I use it on his play yard changing station and it works fine. That is why you see it kind of bunched up in the picture. I did not use it on a changing pad.
