Mom is hard to buy for, am I right? I always got my mom gift cards or just made her things. She loved both and I know with me now being a mom, I adore it when my kids make me things! I have their artwork all over my fridge and some walls in my bedroom! I love handmade things from them!

What about what your hubby gets you though or your significant other? Do you expect him/her to go all out? I don’t, but it is nice to be remembered! Even a card is nice to receive!

Every mama is different though and so I wanted to put together a fun round-up post on Gift Ideas For Mom On Mother’s Day!

  8. Crissie Woolard says:

Homemade gifts are always the best!! I have given my mom rose bushes quite a few times, she still has them and they come back every year and are beautiful!

  9. Brandy Jones says:

I think when in doubt of what to get that will make your mom the happiest, you should just ask her what she would really like. It shows you want to make her happy, not just that you feel obligated to get her gift so you just go buy the usual flowers or stuff like that. That’s what I’ve done worry my mom for years and she always has some random thing she has been really wanting but hadn’t got so I get it for her.

  10. Personally I like restaurant gift cards or gift cards for massages. Anything to make life easier or more comfortable Rosanne

  11. I like to give personalized gifts like lovely frames with new family photos in them.

  12. Thank you.

  13. I don’t really have any extraordinary ideas, since mothers vary so much in what they like to receive. For myself, I often tried to come up with a couple of complimentary things, since my mother’s birthday was on May 14, and woe betide anyone who tried to just COMBINE the two gifts into one!

  14. I usually get a gift card to a local chain restaurant because everyone likes to take a break from cooking once in awhile.

  15. Jewelry and gift cards to their favorite store or restaurant are always hits!

  16. I think a gift card to a restaurant is always a nice gift. A day without cooking dinner is always a happy day.

  17. Shelley P says:

I like to get my mom out of the house either take her shopping or out for dinner.

  18. I like to give gift certificates to the local hair salons.

  19. Lesley F says:

A pamper day is always nice

  20. Gift cards are always a good idea.

  21. Laurie Nykaza says:

I love to give photo books as gifts everyone loves looking at the pictures.

  22. I always say gift cards are a great choice!

  23. I like to always make a homemade treat. (:

  24. A gift card is always good. That way they can get what they want. A nice meal out is also good.

  25. kayla sheehan says:

    Brunch and a spa day!

  26. Theron Willis says:

Take ‘er out for a dish of ‘er prefered cuisine.

  27. I love to buy flowers, thank you so much for the offer!

  28. Handmade items from your children are always a plus!

  29. I always give either a gift card or homemade goodies, like a dozen banana muffins or bread!

  30. elizabeth miller says:

Look for their hobbies and find an off thing that goes with their hobby. For example, if they like canning or mason jar decorating, go online and order them colored jars.

  31. Melissa Storms says:

I don’t know, I am having a tough time this year, this will be my mom;s first Mother’s day without her mother. I want to get her something meaningful. I am thinking about crystal butterflies since my Nana loved them.

  32. sherry says:

I think the solar jar would make a great night light for bathroom

  33. I think a shared day like a spa day or treating mom to a movie and lunch is always fun.

  34. Catherine Lewis says:

Flowers are always welcome, even if it is just one.

  35. Julie Bickham says:

How about a blanket made with photos of the kids? My mom loved hers.

  36. Anita Duvall says:

I think making lunch or dinner for mom is perfect. You have a more relaxed intimate setting at her home so you can just spend time together!

  37. SHIRLEY SYMON says:

Lately I have been getting her gift cards. With Easter, her birthday and Mothers Day with in a month it makes it hard to come up with three different gifts.

  38. I think gift certificates or time together is always a nice gift.

  39. tat2gurlzrock says:

I think handmade gifts are nice. One year I made my mom a huge counted cross stitch picture of dolls (she collected dolls). Took me months to make but she LOVED it.

  40. vickie couturier says:

Go to church with her ,or take her out to dinner and spend some time with her

  41. I think photo blankets are great and personalized jewelry.

  42. I have turned photos into blankets and pillows. My mom loves anything with pictures of us.

  43. I love spending time with my family on Mother’s Day, but I love getting the gift of alone time as a gift. The best gifts I’ve ever received for Mother’s Day were a day at the spa by myself and the gift of time through the family helping with my tasks and insisting I rest instead.

  44. Cheryl Chervitz says:

You can’t go wrong with flowers and a card, or maybe candy.

  45. kimrk56 says:
