Tommee Tippee

I had the chance to try out the Tommee Tippee sippy cups and bottle. I was excited to have my children try these out. Every sippy cup we have, except for a select few, end up getting thrown away because they get mildew in the tip or lid and it is very hard to get that out. I was impressed with the sippy cups and bottle. My kids were on pins and needles as I filled them up with juice. The green sippy seen above worked perfect. No spills, just a great sippy cup. The blue one, for some reason, leaks like a sive! Ugh! I have tried EVERYTHING and nothing seems to work to stop it from leaking. I. tried opening the lid and putting it back on to make sure it was on correctly and threaded right. But, it still leaked and bad. I had to end up taking the lid off and just letting my son who is 4 use it as a plain old cup. I was kind of upset, as I was so excited to try these out. It seems I just cant find the right sippy cup. I am thinking it was just a bad sippy cup, as I am hearing all rave reviews about it and I had a bad experience and no one else has. The bottle works like a charm though too. It is great for my daughter and easy for her to hold. The nipple is super soft and she loves that. So all in all, the green sippy cup and the bottle were great, the blue sippy cup, not so much.

What I did like about the sippy cup was that it has a built in little lid that you can clip on or off and it stays connected and there is a spot for it on the lid to rest nicely in. They are easy to clean, and so is the bottle.

I hadn't heard of these cups before. Thanks for the honest review.

It's odd that one worked great and the other didn't. I like the idea of the lid, can the kids take it off themselves?

It does sound like the blue one was defective. They should send you a replacement.

Bummer. It is hard finding the right sippy. My son is 3.5 and we tried the one that looks more "grown-up" Reminds me of a coffee cup, stage 5 - both boys ADORE that one.

Good luck!

Kim,

Yes, the lid can be taken off by the kids, but the lid is connected to the cup, so it just flips back into the little space for it! Super cool feature. I do believe I was sent a defective cup too.

Sounds like a defective cup...we love ours and they haven't leaked yet. Great review though and very honest!

It does sound like it's defective--especially if one worked and the other didn't
