The Zoo Did NOT Work Out…

So, we headed off to the zoo a bit on the late side, but still it would have been OK, we would of had two hours to walk around and see the animals. The weather was PERFECT at a wonderful 61 degrees! We get to the zoo and it is a ZOO (no pun intended!) We drove around for about 45 minutes searching for a parking spot to no avail. We finally gave up because the zoo was closing at 5p and it was already 3:30p! Whatever! I have never in my life seen that zoo that busy, ever! I think everyone was thinking exactly what we thought, and that was the first nice day, we will go to the zoo. Ugh! Very irritating. Days like this, humans irritate me ;) So, we figured, since we will be out in the area on Wednesday, we will go then. Should be better in the middle of the week and better prices too. The weather just better still be good and everyone in the Portland, Oregon area better NOT be thinking the SAME thing!!! So, until Wednesday… my little boy understood, I hope… :(

Mama’s Takin’ Me to The Zoo Tomorrow!

I am not quite sure where this week flew off to, gosh it went by fast. I am so happy that the weekend is here! We are going to the zoo tomorrow, if the weather provides (it has been non stop raining for the past week!) It is suppose to be nice, so we shall see. My son is super excited to see the giraffes and elephants! I want to see the lions!

Yesterday me and my boy made snickerdoodles, member those? YUM! I added much more sugar and cinnamon to the tops then necessary, but they turned out delicious! They are already gone… :) Here is the recipe that we used: SNICKERDOODLE COOKIES

I had totally forgotten how absolutely yummy those cookies were, and when I came across this recipe, I just had to make them! It has been so long since I had them. My son put in all the ingredients, all I had to do was mix and put them in the oven!

Hello, this is Debbie from Alphabuzz. You may have done a market research focus group for us before.We are an independent market research company looking for respondents to participate in an online session about contact lenses. This is a unique study with 2 parts. The first part involves an online bulletin board and answering questions about your experience with contacts. The session will take place online beginning the week of April 6 at your convenience, and last several weeks concluding the week of April 20. You will log on to an online bulletin board to respond to questions and film video of yourself answering those questions.

If you are chosen, we will send you a digital video camera and upon completion of the study, you will be able to keep the camera and we will also send you a check for $200. If you qualify for an additional segment, you will be paid an extra $100 (for a total of $300) to log on for an additional 2 hours of your time.

The second part requires you to make an appointment with your eye care professional for a contact lens prescription exam during the week of April 13. We will ask you take notes at your visit or Twitter as it happens as we are interested in your experience at the office. The whole study will take 6 hours of time spread out over 3 weeks, which includes the online session as well as the exam.

YOU MUST HAVE HIGH SPEED INTERNET IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE.

April Fools Day SUCKS

Have you ever….

-hid in the bathroom just so that you could enjoy that last chocolate chip cookie?

-not taken a shower for two days because there is absolutely no time in left in a day for YOU?

-screamed at the top of your lungs because NO one listens to you?

-ate the crumbs off your child’s shirt and cheeks ONLY because you can’t find a rag at that moment?

-put off an important doctors appointment or appointment for yourself only because “YOU” can always wait?

Ok, so I am having one of those days again, what can I say? I woke up this morning and tried to get onto my lovely blog, when what you ask.. It could NOT BE FOUND! I am not kidding you! My blog was NO WHERE to be found! I typed it in the browser, nope, no such address.. I went to the website that hosts my website, nope, they could NOT be found. I was FREAKING out! All of my hard work and blood has gone into this, and now it is gone? Omgosh! So, I finally went to another blog that I left my link on, and for some reason, there it was, the link worked from there! I seriously was crying! I am still not sure what happened or why it was not working or why it was not found at all on the internet with all the links that I had, it was a pretty scary 30 minutes of my day! Throw two bad tempered kids into the mix and my morning was down right AWFUL!

Anyways, whatever happened, it is ok now. Maybe someone was playing an April Fools Day joke on me, mmm kay…

I am trying to think of a really cool monthly contest to do this month. I have a few ideas, and will probably have a new contest for the month posted tomorrow at the latest, so look out for the new one! A lil’ Randomness…

I cannot believe how many times I have had to get up in the last 10 minutes from doing my blog, because my daughter who is one, will climb up on this old desk we have, which is about 4 ft off the floor, and stand on the very tip top and stare at me and clap… AGHHHHHHHH!!! How on earth does she get up there you ask? Oh, she pushes and pulls things to make little stairs up to it. Seriously, I have to go get her off the tip top AGAIN right now! K, back, but probably back for only another two seconds until she decides she needs to do it again.. sigh..

Today Is One Of THOSE Days…

I know we ALL have them, one of THOSE days.. where NOTHING goes right and everything that can go wrong, does. The kids are completely misbehaving, and everything I do, seems to be for nothing, today kind of day. Everytime I turn around, something needs my attention, or one of my kids has done something naughty or they are fighting like crazy. I DON’T like today, at all. Oh, and it is MONDAY, who would have thought?? The weather outside is impossible! Big HUGE snow flurries, then pure blue skies and then hail and then a blizzard again, go figure! K, I swear this is not going to be a vent, it is just an unbelievable kind of day, and not in a good way!

Finally some quiet (I put the kids in their own rooms and am giving them some quiet time, much needed quiet time FOR ME ;) )

VAMPIRE SKELETON FOUND IN VENICE???

A skeleton exhumed from a grave in Venice is being claimed as the first known example of the “vampires” widely referred to in contemporary documents.

Matteo Borrini of the University of Florence in Italy found the skeleton of a woman with a small brick in her mouth while excavating mass graves of plague victims from the Middle Ages on Lazzaretto Nuovo Island in Venice.

At the time the woman died, many people believed that the plague was spread by “vampires” which, rather than drinking people’s blood, spread disease by chewing on their shrouds after dying. Grave-diggers put bricks in the mouths of suspected vampires to stop them doing this, Borrini says.

You Know What REALLY Gets Me?

When someone posts a comment on MY blog telling ME how to parent! OMGOSH!! Apparently I am a Phony.. hmm..

Read this:

I like what your trying to do, starting your own business, but everything you are saying sounds so phony. Did your husband really get up and leave you the first time you went out to eat since you had the baby? And what is up with A two year old spitting & hitting his mother? I’m A Father of four, ages 14 thur 21, two boy’s and two girls & if what you are saying is true about what is going on in your life, I would not be trying to start a new business right now, I would work on family and then work on the new business. I’m not trying to be mean or tell you what to do, it’s just what I would do.

Ummm.. ok!? Someone must have been a GREAT parent, huh? To have NEVER seen a two year old throw a tantrum, spit, hit, scream, poop, fart and so on!! Wow! KUDOS to this “hero of a parent!!!” I am SOO sick of people like HIM, omgosh. I have never had anyone tell me I am a bad parent or that I don’t watch my children or that I am too self absorbed! Goodness, all bet this man, or old geezer is sooo pitifully ugly and depressed that he has to post on womens blogs and “TRY” and make them feel like bad parents, just so he can feel abit better about himself, so sad! I do hope he gets some help! But you know what? I forgive him, because I am a good person. Anyways, just thought this was ODD is all.

Oh, is that my two year old running around screaming and yelling? Oh, should I not say that on here in fear of being told I am a bad parent? Maybe I should candy coat his childhood and the way he acts? Hmmm.. Afterall, he is ONLY two…

Me and The Fam Went to Dinner Last Night..

We went out to dinner for the first time after having my daughter Presley, who is now 6 months old. Very interesting indeed. While we were waiting for our food, which seemed like ten years, my two year old was under the table pinching my husband on his legs and saying “I pinch dad” because he was in a “mood” and my daughter was hanging half way out of her car seat screaming. Oh my gosh… What were we to do? So, my husband had to take our son outside and I had to put our daughter on my lap. When our food came, my husband sat at the table with our two year old. Well, our two year old has recently picked up the “eff” word. He was feeling a bit bored, so thought he would use the “eff” word real loudly in the restaurant. GRRRRR.. we took maybe three bites total, and had to call it quits, get the food to go and go home. Apparently my daughter was famished, after I had just fed her for 1/2 hour, and our precious, adorable, angelic son, was just being his two year old self. SIGH… we tried, right? Maybe a babysitter would be better next time. I am sure the table next to us thought, boy, they certainly have a horrible kid, he swears and pinches his father! Ughhhh…

Well, That Was An Interesting Day!

So, I was accepted to be a Nesquik Shakers

So, me, my children, my sister Juliann and her children all went out to the port right next to my house. Before we went, I went to the ONLY store in my town and used the coupons Nesquik sent me to get 4 full sized chocolate milks and some small cups to pass out at the port for people to sample.

When we get to the port, we decided, what better place to go then to the play area with thirsty children! Score! So, we set up camp and then approach the nervous mothers, LMBO! At first they were very skeptical of what we were doing. I mean, now adays, if someone offers you and your children some chocolate milk, it DOES seem shady! But, bless their hearts, they gave in and called their thirsty children over for a quick picture and some chocolate milk. I then let them have the rest of the milk, which was still over half full. Walking away, I swear they were confused still, lol, oh well, just something I had to do to get my points on Nesquik Breakers team.

Next, my sister Juliann approached an old chinese lady with two children. She did not understand what my sister was saying and shook her head no, and grabbed her children under her arms like a mother hen, and high tailed it outta there, like we were gonna poison them or something, whatever! So ridiculous!

Then, on our way home from the port there was road construction. We were at a stand still, so I decided to summon a crew worker over to the vehicle. I offered him some Nesquik chocolate milk, a brandnew unopened one, which he gladly accepted. I then quickly snapped his picture of him holding it, but not quick enough! The STUPID lady holding the stop sign was miffed at why we were not moving and holding up traffic. So she yelled at me sooo loudly! Oh my gosh, I was only trying to do something nice! I sooo badly wanted to get out of the car and smack her in the face, then get back into the car and run her the heck over! For the rest of the day I was cursing her life.

So, that was an interesting day to say the least. What I learned? I learned that people, especially mothers with children, don’t really like it when a complete stranger comes up to them in a playground and offers them and their children chocolate milk. I also learned that some old little ladies are very skeptical of free chocolate milk. I learned that construction workers are thirsty and will take any cold beverage given to them. I learned that I DISLIKE very much that other construction worker that yelled at me, she was ugly anyways!

How Was My Day, You Asked?

Well, here I am trying my hardest to have an at home business, and be successful. It is very hard to do when you have two young children who constantly need YOU!

What I am dealing with right now..

It is 9:30P at night. My two year old has thrown his 8th tantrum today. He just got sent to his room, because he was spitting on me and hitting me. Why you ask? Because he is two. So, he is in his room screaming his lungs out and saying ” I sowwy mama” ughhh..

Now for my 6 month old. Amongst all of this, she is on the floor at my feet trying to chew on them and crying because she is starving.. umm.. I breastfeed, and trust me, she IS NOT starving. I swear I have fed her a million times today.

It is VERY rough being the only one around for your kids. My husband is always gone, and my kids are so very clingy. So excuse me if I am rambling right now, but I really have no one to talk to, or should I say that I can talk to in an adult voice, LOL. So, how was your day?
