Mattel’s Newest Line Of High Throttle Toy Story Vehicles And Figures (Review & A Giveaway!)

Mattel has a new line of high throttle Toy Story vehicles and figures and boy are my kids having FUN with them! Since I am a part of the Mattel Disney Insider, I get to try out some pretty cool toys and share them with you all :)

The Toy Story Toymation stop motion video, The Great RC Race, was created by Mattel and it is currently airing on DisneyLiving.com!  This Toymation features Mattel’s newest line of high throttle Toy Story vehicles and figures that include the RC the buggy, Buzz and Woody – as they attempt to save the day while avoiding capture by the evil Zurg! Too cute! My kids loved the video!

Me and my kids got to form the ultimate racing team by playing with these fun toys! My kids let their imaginations go wild with this. It was a lot of fun and these toys are so neat! We received the  RC’s World Play Set (1), a RC Vehicle (1) and RC Racer Figures (Buzz and Woody!). My daughter played Buzz and my son played Woody. They raced their cars and sometimes Woody would win and sometimes Buzz would win, but they both always got a big hug from me, when they were through with their races!

I had to put together the RC’s World Play Set, which was totally easy to do and the vehicles I only had to add a few stickers and the tail on the back of the car and some wings on Buzz’s! All you do is pull the vehicles back and hook them onto the RC Play Set and when you are ready to race, simply press down on the red buttons and see them take off for the finish line!! These are really fun toys. The figures are durable and strong and portray the characters to a T. The vehicles are durable too and lots of fun to play with.

- 13 trips were made to the local Salvation Army and St. Vincent de Paul Society to collect all the miscellaneous props
-There were 15 John Grisham novels, 3 sets of Encyclopedia Britannica, and more than 400 books total used to create the set

-Every shot required at least 5 hours of set up with props and lights
-Every shot needed 12 frames per second
-The shoot used a crew of 10 people and lasted a little over 3 ½ weeks

-We had to shoot fast when using any candy props due to a determined army of ants which would attack our set late at night (especially our lollipop stop signs)

-Towards the end of the piece, the electronics featured are striped parts from old printers, computers, and servers taken from the studio

Since my skin is showing those dreaded signs of aging, I was eager to try out these two products. First night I tried out the Fiafini Delicate Cleansing Emulsion. This is a very lightweight cleanser and is nice for sensitive skin such as my own. It quickly dissolved my makeup leaving my skin feeling refreshed and CLEAN. It is fragrance and  alcohol, mineral oil, and all parabens free. Also there is no animal testing, which is very nice. This cleanser definitely is gentle and cleans really well for it to be a cream cleanser.

Then I used the Fiafini Divine Hydration Moisturizer. It too, is fragrance free and great for sensitive skin. This is a hydrating and healing moisturizer that firms, minimizes wrinkles and restores elasticity. I really like how it goes on my skin. It is light and blends in nicely leaving my skin feeling very soft and moisturized. No greasy residue at all and since I break out easily, I was happy about that.  This moisturizer helps soothe and calm redness too, so it is kind of an all in one kind of moisturizer!

So, after using these products, I feel that my skin is softer and looks radiant. I am happy with these products and think that you will like them too. It is always fun to find new products that work well for my skin.

e.p.t Early Pregnancy Test (Review and A Giveaway)

If you read my blog frequently, you all know my troubles with trying to conceive our 3rd child. It has been THREE years now and nada. Blah. My last update about me was soooo hopeful, after all, PYSCHICS said I would conceive in March ;) But, I did NOT. Oh man last month was HARD for me.

It was hard not only because my 6th IUI did not work, but because it was the last month with the medical insurance that we have now. So, we are switching insurances and I am sure it will not be as good as our old insurance was. Oh well. God does not want me to have another child, I will just have to accept that.. Am I bitter much? Ya, just a bit..But I will be alright, I ALWAYS am.

Anyways! Onto the e.p.t. review and giveaway :)

e.p.t pregnancy tests are great tests. I usually will buy these tests when I get a line on a dollar store test, that way I don’t waste my money on a good test :) I like that the digital e.p.t.’s will keep the words on their tests (though I did NOT like seeing the words “Not Pregnant” staring at me from the trash can, ugh!). But, if I had been pregnant it is nice to save that test that says “Pregnant”! Also, their regular tests are easy to read as they have the “cross” if you are pregnant and just the line if you are not. Kind of takes the guess work out of figuring out if you really see that line or not.

e.p.t’s website is very helpful too. I like that it has information on how to discover ways to increase your chances of conceiving. Also, you can grab a $2.00 off coupon (which is VERY  nice when you buy pregnancy tests ALL. The. Time.). Don’t know when you are most fertile? e.p.t.’s ovulation calculator can help you with that! You can enter the first day of your last menstrual cycle and your average cycle length and it will help you determine when you will be most fertile. This is a very helpful tool. Also, keep an eye on your body and tune into it, only you really know when you are ovulating or will be. This tool is just to help out.

 e.p.t also just announced their new iPhone app! It is the e.p.t Ovulation Calculator for women looking to find out when they are most fertile and track their menstrual cycle. This free mobile app is designed for the iPhone and comes with 35 helpful fertility tips as well as the option for email or calendar reminders on the day before expected ovulation. LOVE this.

payLo By Virgin Mobile (Review)

payLo by Virgin Mobile is great. You get way more (talk and text) plus you get 1500 minutes and 1500 messages (and 30MB Web Access!) for only $30 a month. Or you can do the 400 minutes for $20 a month OR you can pay as you go at the basic rate of 20 cents a minute. There is NO contract either!

You can choose from 3 different plan choices and get the nationwide Sprint 3G network. The phones are kind of cool too :) The one I received  is a Samsung M575 3G Qwerty slider. Gotta have the slider!

This is totally easy to set up, just buy a phone and top-up card and activate either online or over the phone. Top-up and choose the plan  that fits YOUR needs. That is it!

Now, the phone I received was already set up for me, so I just had to turn it on! Easy peasy :) I am not tech savvy, so that was nice for me :) This phone has everything I need, a camera, camcorder, handsfree bluetooth, threaded text messaging, Email and IM, landscape and portrait modes, MP3 and video player, voicemail and caller ID and it supports microSD cards up to 32GB! Whoosh, lots of features and it is more than enough for me.

You can also get extras like the spoken turn-by-turn directions to virtually anywhere in the U.S. with Virgin Mobile Navigator (I SO need that!). You can also surf the web and access all of your favorite sites that MAY happen to include: Momdot.com, Penelope’s Oasis, A Nut In A Nutshell, Happily  Blended and Shop with Me Mama!! Oh ya :)

So yes, this phone and service is pretty great stuff! So, what is included in your payLo By Virgin Mobile Box?? Your phone, battery charger and starter guide with details on payLo services and features to get you up and running ASAP!

I also love that the battery talk time is up to 360 minutes (6 hours of jabbering!!) and the standby time is up to 300 hours (12 days to be exact…) so you are good to go!

So far the only problem I had with this phone service was in my home. BUT that is with all of our cellphones! Our phones only get service if we stand in a certain corner of our home, LOL. Otherwise, no problems at all. I have not yet, experienced any dropped calls and so that is very good. I think this is a great value for your money if you need a phone and decent service plan.

Swiggies Wrist Water Bottles (Review and Giveaway)

I was sent two child Swiggies to try out. My kids were a bit excited. They like having their own water bottle because I have one that I always use and they always want to drink off of mine. Now, they don’t have to, because they love their new Swiggies wrist water bottle. My son said it is really cool and my daughter said she likes it because it is little enough for her arm. I agreed!

You would think that these would leak, but they don’t. They come two in a package and they come in several different colors. They also come with a washer to put on the inside of the cap, so that ensures that it won’t leak everywhere. They have a velcro strap that you or your child can easily strap onto their wrists.

These are great for car trips or around the house. My kids go on a lot of adventures around our home, so they always pack little backpacks with snacks and now they use their Swiggies on their wrist and they love it! It holds just enough water for my thirsty babies. The child Swiggies hold 8 ounces of water or sports drink.

You can also freeze these, so when you go out on hot days, you can have a nice cold beverage on your wrist! It will also cool down your wrist :)

Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked (Review)

Oh how I loved Alvin and the Chipmunks, when I was young. I am so happy that they are still around and so popular still! Alvin and The Chipmunks: Chipwrecked is so adorable and I had the opportunity to review it!

Me and my kids love this movie, love it. From all of the fun songs (which my kids just love!!) to the adorable chipmunks and their adventure, this movie is just too cute!

Alvin is always up to his tricks and something ALWAYS happens when he is! This movie is full of adventure and good laughs. My kids could not stop laughing throughout this movie. In this movie, the boys are joined by the girl chipettes and this movie is a good adventure from the get go. No slow starts here!

The whole gang goes on a cruise, but you know like I said earlier, when Alvin is involved, something ALWAYS goes wrong! Everyone ends up marooned on a deserted island and as they try desperately to be rescued, they come across some really interesting adventures and misadventures! And yes, Ian (the foe) ends up with them deserted on the island. It really is a cute and action packed movie with lots of fun songs and adventures.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked is rated G for everyone and is 87 minutes long. It was released on DVD on March 27th and if you don’t own this movie, you should go pick up a copy of it today. It is really cute, promise!

VTech Safe & Sound Full-Color Video and Audio Monitor (Review)

Having babies/kids is really a life changing experience. Once you are a parent, you have a lot of responsibilities and that includes keeping your child safe.

Though my kids are not newborns anymore, I still like to keep an eye out for them. With the VTech Safe & Sound Full-Color Video and Audio Monitor, I can SEE what my kids are doing, when they are “quietly” playing in another room! We all know when kids get quiet, something is usually up, and my kids get quiet A LOT. They are quite devious, wonder where they get that from…

This monitor provides me a full audio/visual monitoring solution with up to 1,000 feet of range, now we are talkin’! More features include a split video screen, enabling simultaneous viewing from up to four separate cameras (with the purchase of additional cameras). This also has infrared night-vision as well as a two-way intercom system to let your sweet little one hear their parents’ voices, a polyphonic lullaby can play and a temperature sensor is on there too. This monitor really has all the features needed to ensure a parent does not have to worry all night long if their baby is okay or not. Finally a product that will allow the parents to get a good nights sleep! Priceless!!!

For older kids like mine, like I said, it works great in other rooms. I like knowing that my kids are behaving and not getting into things when I am in another room. Helicopter parenting? Perhaps, but I would rather my kids be safe then in trouble and me not know it.

And of course, the features I mentioned in my post earlier. LOTS of features. Another feature I really really like is that the camera lens part can be opened and pushed down so you can get a good view of whatever child you would like to monitor (see picture above). I love the 5 soothing lullabies, each one is pretty and comforting. The baby unit (camera unit) has a little microphone on the back, so you can hear your baby easily. It can use an adapter or batteries, your choice (same with the parent unit/monitor). Oh and on the adapter cord there is a piece of velcro, so you can wind up the cord and velcro it in place so baby can’t get hurt and the antenna on the parent unit/monitor, has an antenna that you can fold up and then fold back down, easily. I am just so pleased with this monitor and highly recommend it to you all.
