The VTech Retro Phone Review And Giveaway!

Nothing like good old retro to take you back, huh? I love finding things that take me back in the day, and the new VTech Retro Phone, certainly does just that!

Take a look at it!! It is very cool and sleek, yet has that retro look to it. This phone was inspired by the classic corded rotary telephone design. This sleek cordless handset rests face down on the charger, this allows for that classic look I just love!

The numbers/dials are arranged to look like the old rotary dials, but really they are push buttons! Love this feature. It has caller ID and call waiting and store up to 50 calls, which is nice for me, since storage on my phones tends to be a BIG thing! And the handset will display the name, number, time and date of incoming calls. This is especially nice if you just don’t feel like talking to the person calling right at the moment..I KNOW you have all been there, LOL..

Want to be hands free while hanging on the phone? Yep, that would be me ALL the time. I cannot STAND my hands being occupied by the phone, I MUST use them for more productive things (like blogging!!). GBC ID Badge Laminator Kit Review And Giveaway

I have so many cards lying around my house, is total need of some lamination on them. I have had to reorder numerous medical cards and other things, because they get ruined!

Having a little laminator machine in our home was something we realized we really needed. The GBC ID Badge Laminator Kit was the answer for us.

I received the GBC Laminator Kit to review and I have already laminated ALL of our medical cards (yay!!), laminated a few recipes that were falling apart and now me and the kids are working on flash cards! The possibilities are endless with this laminating machine!! LOVE It!

 

The machine is small enough to fit just about anywhere and I love that. My counter spaces are quite limited, so having something little, that can do a big job, is nice for me!

The laminator machine comes all put together, you just have to plug it in and wait until it is warm enough to start using! Easy! When it is ready for use, you choose which item you want to laminate and put it into a plastic pouch and then into a paper sleeve (to protect the machine from the plastic and any bunching that may occur). The machine is best placed on a surface where it can ventilate properly, otherwise it may get too hot and we don’t want that, do we??

Okay, back to the process, LOL..

Slowly feed the paper sleeve (with the plastic inside of it) into the machine. I recommend holding the very end of the paper sleeve, tightly, and feed it slowly through the machine. The machine does pull it through, itself, but I found out the hard way, if you don’t continue holding firmly closed the end part of the paper, then it will push the plastic part out of the paper sleeve and it won’t work correctly. So just pay attention and help it through, easy peasy. I really hope that made sense..

Once it feeds through it will come out the other side. It will be quite warm, so use caution when taking it out! Then, lay it on a flat surface and you are done!! There ya have it, a nice, beautifully lamanated product :) I wish I had this laminator kit early, man I would have saved myself a few headaches!

Top Ten Favorite Beauty Products Ever!

I have a top ten favorite beauty products ever list, do you? I bet you do, or at least you have a top ten faves list of SOMETHING, right? I think everyone does!

I wanted to share with you a few of my fave beauty products! Since I have quite a few faves, it was kind of hard for me to tame it down to JUST ten, but I managed…

1.) Mia Mariu  RestauraCel-C Thermal Microdermabrasion Set! If you are looking for a really really good microdermabrasion set to help sloth off those dead skin cells, this is the product I highly recommend. It is a two-step system that leaves my skin so dang soft, it is UNBELIEVABLE. I use this twice a week and I also use it on my neck and chest for very soft, beautiful skin! LOVE.

2.) Butter LONDON Nail Polish! Oh yes, this is by far my favorite nail polish ever. Why? Because it seems to last longer than most polishes and the colors they have are way too cool! Always a new color and I like that ;)

3.) Bitty Blossom Scrubs by Blossom Soap Studio Handmade Soap! First of all, I am a huge fan of her homemade soaps and scrubs! Just love them! They are all natural and are great for my skin. The Bitty Blossom Scrubs are little heart-shaped scrubs that are perfect for holding in your hand and sloth away your body’s dead skin cells. They smell delicious too!

 4.)  BH Cosmetics 88 color tropical matte eyeshadow palette! Can I say OPTIONS??! Seriously, every color you can imagine and mix up, you can with this wonderful eyeshadow palette! Do I use this all the time? Yes, I do. I will need to be buying a new one soon, but this has lasted me over a year! It has tons of great colors and it comes with two applicators. 5.)  Jerdon Tri-Fold Lighted Mirror! If you are anything like me, I like to know what is going on on my face. I like to know when there is a HUGE thick long hair protruding from my chin and I certainly don’t want someone else to point it out to me! Whoosh! So, in comes this mirror. It is great for not only finding them stray hairs but for putting on your makeup too! It has different light settings to make sure your makeup looks its best in any light!

 

 6.)  Youth Corridor Antioxidant Boost Serum! I LOVE this stuff. It is a serum that absorbs into all of your wrinkles and leaves your skin looking, almost instantly, unlined. It does leave a sticky residue, so I use it at night mostly, but this stuff works and it is worth it!

7.) Lancome  Rénergie Eye Multiple Action! This is dual action, no lie.  The cap part has a wonderful concealer that protects the delicate eye area while it covers up your dark circles while deflating your under eye bags. The jar part contains a unique cream that will help lift eyelids, erases lines and helps to fade dark circles.

8.) Dove Cream  Oil Shea Butter Body Wash! I am already a HUGE fan of Dove anyways, so this was an easy pick for me! This shea butter body wash is amazing in all the sense of the word. It lathers up awesomely and when it is rinsed off, my skin is left moisturized and soft with a slight nice scent! Great way to get your skin ready for those shorts sitting in your dresser drawer :)

Hair Removal Laser

9.) Tria Home Laser Hair Removal System! Nothing like getting ready to bare all then with the Tria Home Laser Hair Removal System. It does take at least 3-4 months to actually see less hair or hair starting to disappear, but once you start seeing, you start believing and this does work! Laser hair removal is very expensive and if you can do it yourself in the comfort of your own home, I am all over that!

10.)  FakeBake Bronzy Babe: Face & Body Bronzing Compact! This is a true to tan looking colored bronzer that leaves your skin not only tan looking, but soft and silky too! Nothing says summer more than a HEALTHY faux tan :)

There ya go, all my faves (well, for now anyways, it keeps on changin’!) Promise you will love each and every product mentioned above!

Get Organized With Kelly Edwards And Get Summer Entertaining Tips from Chef Stephen Kalil (Giveaway Time!)

Getting and staying organized in this home is VERY difficult. Organizing around here, does not really exist, unfortunately. The moment I think I have something organized, I turn my head to do something else and suddenly the area I JUST organized is not anymore, because of my sweet children.

Don’t get me wrong, my kids behave REALLY really well when they are around others and pretty well at home, but lets face it, they are KIDS and kids get into things…

He has been featured on the Food Network’s Unwrapped, is regularly featured in industry publications such as Culinology, Flavor and the Menu andPrepared Foods magazines. Although he ultimately found his creative outlet in the kitchen, Stephen also earned a bachelor’s degree in music from Berklee College of Music in Boston, and continues to play the piano and compose music at home, in Dallas, Texas. Stephen Kalil is also the  Executive Research Chef at Frito-Lay’s Culinary Innovation Center!

More Update(s) On Me :)

So, I know the last update I had about me was about me hoping I was pregnant with my last IUI. Well, ended up NOT being pregnant, but what else would I expect? I mean it has not happened for all 7 IUI’s, why on earth would it happen then?

Already having two kids, certainly does not make trying to conceive any easier. Yes, I have two wonderful, BUSY little miracles, but why on earth can I not have ONE more? I have questioned God and everyone for a LONG time on this. I just did not understand why I was unable to have baby #3...

All of this stuff really takes a toll on someone, it really really does! TONS of emotions, tons. So, all of you people out there, that have been through infertility, or are going through it now, still, I will say a prayer for you. Stay STRONG.

Now, my update…

So, after the 7 IUI failed I was beyond devasted. Our insurance was up and we were going to have other insurance, but not as good. Me and hubby decided that that was our last attempt at trying, with medical assistance, to have another child. So yes, it was HARD. Very hard..

So, April we took off. I did not chart, I did not know when my most fertile days were going to be, I knew NOTHING. I had some left over Fertibella that I had given to my friend, and she became pregnant, so she gave me the remaining pills. So, I decided, what the heck, why not take ‘em..

I decided on a WHIM, to go and buy me some pregnancy tests, afterall it was a monthly ritual for me to buy about 10-50 a month anyways, so it would have felt WEIRD to not buy any. So, I bought me some.

I decided to take one the next day, and of course I had NEVER taken this particular brand before (it was the Answer Early Test STRIPS). After the time limit (10 minutes) there was a faint faint faint pink line… Mmmm.. kay? I took the rest of ‘em, (yep, sure did) and there were FAINT pink lines on ALL of them, but after the time limit, GRRR.

So, I did some research online about them and talked to some gals and everyone said that they take a while, like after the time limit to even show any line if you are pregnant. So, of course that made me SUPER curious. I remembered that e.p.t had recently sent me some digital pregnancy tests, but I had them buried because I KNEW I would never  need them, EVER. So, I found them in my cupboard and decided to go ahead and pee on one, why not..

I went to tend to my kids and when I returned it was STILL showing that dreaded timer symbol. Then, all of a sudden “Pregnant” pops up. OMG. Are you flippin’ serious?! We barely had sex this month (TMI but TRUE…). NO medical help, no pills or shots? No way. No way.

So, I took another one, and SAME thing… Man, I was a bawling FOOL that night. I am PREGNANT. For now, right now, today, I am pregnant and that is all that I know. I am so happy, thrilled and beyond shocked. After three years of trying SO. Hard. Then this? LOL. Alright, I will take it!

My first appointment is on June 5th, and HOPEFULLY we will see a baby in my tummy. I have had 3 losses, so the first trimester is always ruined for me, in terms of being able to get too excited, but this one feels different, a GOOD healthy different :) I am happy :) So so happy!!!

Since finding out, I have been entering EVERY single baby giveaway on the net, and hoping I will win them all, LOL. I have also been searching the internet on great deals on baby products and finding Net voucher codes or any codes that will help me with buying baby clothes, gear and goodies and save me some money!
