Stevie Tenderheart Bedtime Stories Review (BIG Prize Pack Giveaway AND 25 Book Winners!!)

I love seeing my kids engaged in a good book! When I was approached by Stevie Tenderheart to review his children’s book, I was so excited! I KNEW they would be a big hit with my kids!

Just by corresponding in emails with Steve, I knew that his books would be fun and good to read. Steve seems like a very nice guy, so down to earth and friendly! This made me even more eager to check out his books with my children!

I was sent his wonderful books to check out as well as the corresponding coloring books too. I was also sent some cute shirts, stickers and more! Man, my kids were in heaven with all this fun, reading stuff!

My 7-year-old son, sat with me one night and read half of “My Favorite Place To Be..”. It is a longer book for kids to read, so that is why he read only half one night and half the next night. My son then took  that book to school for show and tell and his teacher decided she wanted to take a look at it so my son brought it to her desk! She checked it out, loved it and then decided to read the whole book to his class! He is in first grade. All of the kids absolutely loved it and so did the teachers. This says a lot for Stevie’s books! Everyone wanted a copy!

The other book we received was “Wait A Minute!” and that is super cute and fun to read too! These are cute bedtime stories to read to your kids or have your kids read to you. Perfect for summertime reading! I love that these books both come with corresponding coloring books too! So you child can really get involved in these books! Very impressive.

Another great thing about Stevie and his books? You can take ‘The Million Pillow Pledge” where you help him donate books to children’s hospitals all across the land!!! The brave little kids REALLY appreciate them as you can all imagine!

All in all, I am just very impressed with these wonderful children’s books! My kids love them, my sons teacher and classmates loved them and I really love them too!

Philips AVENT Single Electric Comfort Breast Pump (Review & A Giveaway Too!!)

I have ALWAYS had to pump with all of my kids. Due to circumstances, I pump EXCLUSIVELY on the right breast and breastfeed exclusively on the left.

I do one feeding on the left breast, then on the next feeding I will do the pumped breast milk in a bottle for that feeding. It has always worked out for me and I am very thankful I CAN pump milk out. I know it can be hard to do!!

Thankfully too, I am a reviewer. I get to try out new products and test them. I was able to try out the Philips AVENT Single Electric Comfort Breast Pump. I have tried out three breast pumps so far and this is by far the best one to date.

This breast pump is not only quiet (the others I have are quite loud!), it is gentle AND effective with getting my milk to come in. I no longer find myself pumping for longer then 8 minutes, as I can usually fill up 4 oz. by that time and sometimes I forget and the bottle over flows with breast milk :) That is so cool, because NEVER has a breast pump done this well for me before!! Usually I had to pump for about 15 minutes at a time, four times a day, to get only HALF of what I get now. So you see, a GOOD breast pump is essential!! You just have to read the reviews and pick what is best for you. I am thankful I did get to review this one, because I am so impressed with it and now I have time to do other things instead of sitting down for half the day pumping!

Blocked Milk Duct?

We went to the beach last weekend and I brought a portable pump that I have. Since using the Philips AVENT Single Electric Comfort Breast Pump, going back to the portable pump was not a good idea! While at the beach I got a blocked milk duct and it HURT. I tried warm compressions, massage and TONS of pumping with that portable pump, but nothing unblocked it :( When I got home, I used the Philips AVENT breast pump and right after that pump, it was gone. NO more blocked milk duct. This just shows me how wonderful of a pump this really is. It really works well for me.

Make A Plate® PrePaid Kit (Review & Giveaway)

I am trying to get together a few things for the summertime, to keep my kids busy. One thing I learned, to keep your sanity throughout the summer and having kids home all day long, you MUST have an agenda for them! Or you WILL go insane..

One thing I thought was really cute and easy to do was the Make A Plate® Kit. I received one to review and my kids just loved it! The process is really fun!

We received one Make A Plate® PrePaid Kit. It has everything in it to create two plates! Ours actually let us do five plates :) What you do is have your kids use the markers it comes with and the 25 pieces of round templates/paper and your kids can color and draw until they get the design that they like. I chose 3 of my sons designs and two of my daughters (only because my daughter gets most of my review items ;) ).

With the drawing process done, you then put the drawings you chose, into a big envelope with the order form and turn it in. In about 2 weeks your plates will arrive with  your childs drawing on them!! The plates are great for every day use and is nontoxic (BPA-free) and dishwasher safe (but do not microwave). My kids LOVE eating on their own plates that they created. It makes meal times more fun for them and less chaotic for me, because they want to eat their meals!! It is a win/win for us all :)
