The Ballas Hough Band’s CD “BHB”
I was sent this wonderful CD in the mail to review. I really liked the songs on this CD. It is an easy listen and kind of fun to dance around to! Even my kids were dancin’ a bit! The songs are really catchy, like some of those songs you have stuck in your head all day, kind of catchy 🙂
I actually had this CD playing most of my day, and never once was irritated by it. I swear it put me in a great mood (I also got A LOT of cleaning done!)
A little bit about the boys behind this great CD:
Mark Ballas & Derek Hough are two professional ballroom dancers. Anyone who has seen “Dancing with the Stars” knows them! They both lead their celebrity partners to victory in successive seasons of Dancing with the Stars. Mark, who took the crown on season 6 with Olympian Kristi Yamaguchi (Derek won in season 7 with Brooke Burke). Even while doing Dancing with the Stars, music was never far from their minds. As soon as Mark and Derek had a chance, they rented a space in Hollywood’s SIR studios for a rehearsal. It was there, that they got their “sound” & searched through many diverse ranges of artist influences like: Michael Jackson, Prince, Queen and even Nirvana! It was all finally taking shape. They wrote the majority of their album themselves! The Ballas Hough Band puts a personnal spin on pop with the songs like “Fall” & “Devastated”, which is about wordly lives & broken hearts.

You will truly enjoy this cd. It is everything I expected it to be and more! Very catchy and fun to dance too! We can always use more of that.
