So, I was browsing the internet last night with my son on my lap. I came across the weirdest thing (what a shocker…) It is called “My Fake Baby” They are so life like, childless woman treat them like their own.
You won’t BELIEVE how real these babies look, I was/am SHOCKED.. Some women put them in strollers, take them for walks, sing to them, change their diapers, put them to bed, snuggle with them, buy clothes for them and even put them in a carseat when they run their errands!!! I am on the fence about this. There is a fine line here, very fine! I think that it is a really really neat idea, and GREAT for COLLECTORS, period (& no, I am not saying I am having my period…)!It kind of is freaky to me that some women treat them like their children! That is just weird. You can even get these babies with a heartbeat, YES, a HEARTBEAT!!! They are weighted to give life like weight and their skin is made to be soft like a babys. I think that some of the pictures I see, remind me of some pictures I have seen of babies that did not make it, so I am on the fence about this, like I said earlier. Makes me wonder how many babies I have seen in the past, that were not in fact “real”!!! (Just kidding, but scary to “think” about!)
I want to know what my readers think. How do you feel about these “Reborn Babies” as they are called? Would you get one if you had the money to do so? (By the way, they run about $1000 each or more, but you can also find them on ebay). Let me know. Post your comments to this blog, I am curious to see what other mamas think…
