Daisy’s Healthy Homemade Dog Food Recipe
Now, I didn’t have all the ingredients or raw ingredients for the suggested recipes in the app, but that didn’t stop me. I came up with my own recipe using what I had in the kitchen and it was actually pretty fun to be creative in the kitchen!
Ingredients Used For The Homemade Dog Food Recipe I Created:
- Small package of stew meat, chopped into little squares
- Half a can of pumpkin puree
- Half a cup of semi-cooked white rice
- Two large eggs
- One cup of water
- A scoop of powdered doggy vitamins (added toward the end)
I followed the easy steps and I turned on the ChefPaw unit using the switch on the bottom right side. Then I hit the weight button, added one ingredient, and pressed the button again to reset it for the next one. Super simple. The machine also calculates the total weight of all the ingredients combined.
After adding everything, I put the lid on, turned the knob to choose the speed, and hit start. The machine began gently mixing and cooking the food at lower temperatures, which helps retain all those important nutrients that are often lost in commercial dog foods. The cooking process was just so dang easy!
About 40 minutes later, the machine beeped, and Miss Daisy’s homemade meal was ready. I let it cool, scooped the freshly made dog’s food into Fluff Trough Bowl, and placed it on the kitchen floor.
Then I called to Miss Daisy and she sniffed it and then started to quickly scarf it down like she hadn’t eaten in days (well, she is picky so probably true!). She absolutely loved it. This is from a dog who normally snubs anything that isn’t a plain piece of chicken!
