I am not one much for gospel music, but when I was sent the Jennifer Shaw “Love Broke Through” CD to review, I was kind of changed on that. The songs she sings are relatable, and she seems like a very likable, down-to-earth person. I love that about this CD!
For those of you who love Christian music and its wonderful power of love and inspiration, then I promise you will love this CD! Heck, even my kids thought it was fun to listen to!
Jennifer is married and has three children. She has been through her ups and downs, too, with a miscarriage at one point and her father being diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Jennifer’s third child, Toby, was diagnosed with a neurological condition known as Sensory Processing Disorder, a condition described as a neurological “traffic jam” that prevents certain parts of the brain from receiving the information needed to interpret sensory information correctly.
It was in her process of all of this, that Jennifer decided to write some songs and record them for her father for a Christmas present. A CD entitled “Be Still” was her first foray into recording Christian music, and it quickly got picked up by over 300 radio stations across the country!
Jennifer’s songs reflect intense moments in her life. You will just have to listen to it for yourself to see what I mean, it is truly a wonderful cd!
