Today sharing my LifeZoom Oclux Red Light Therapy Eye Mask review for tired eyes. If you spend hours staring at a laptop screen every day, you probably know how uncomfortable tired, fatigued, and dry eyes can get, so keep reading!
Since I work from home and spend quite a bit of time on my laptop, dry eyes and eye fatigue have become a real problem for me. My eyes often feel irritated, and I’ve even noticed that my vision doesn’t seem as clear as it used to be.

So, when LifeZoom reached out to me about reviewing their Oclux Red Light Therapy Eye Mask, the timing couldn’t have been better. My eyes had been bothering me quite a bit, and I was interested in trying something new to add to my daily eye care routine to help my poor decrepit eyes.

It looks so fancy🥰
LifeZoom Oclux Red Light Therapy Eye Mask Review for Tired Eyes😴
I’ve been using the Oclux LED eye mask consistently for around 3 weeks, and I wanted to share my experience, how the red light therapy eye mask device works, what makes it different from other LED masks, and whether I think it’s worth trying.
What Is The LifeZoom Oclux Red Light Therapy Eye Mask?
The LifeZoom Oclux is a light therapy mask designed specifically for the eyes and surrounding skin. Unlike full-face LED masks, which focus on larger areas of the face, this device targets the eyes and delicate eye area.
Oclux Red Light Therapy Eye Mask Can Help With…
It uses a combination of red light and near-infrared light, with 48 LEDs arranged around the eyes. According to LifeZoom, the mask is designed to support eye comfort that includes dry eyes, fatigued eyes, blurry vision, puffy eyes, dark circles, and also helps with the appearance of fine lines, while also providing a relaxing experience before bedtime.
So, it is supposed to help with all sorts of things which I really liked. The Oclux has 3 different treatment modes, adjustable intensity settings, and a built-in timer, making it easy to customize each session.
Why I Wanted To Try A Red Light Therapy Eye Mask🔴

I have been using red light therapy devices for quite some time, if you read my blog and follow me on social media, you already know that though 🙂 I already own a red light therapy panel and a full-face LED mask, so I am quite familiar with the technology before trying the Oclux. However, this was my first experience with a device specifically designed for the eye area!
Working from home means I spend a good portion of my day blogging, answering emails, editing content, and looking at my laptop screen. Over time, I’ve noticed that my eyes get extremely dry and tired. I also deal with blurry vision at times, which makes working on my laptop even more frustrating.
Another concern I’ve had for years is night blindness. Driving at night is something I really dislike because oncoming headlights bother my eyes so much.
When I read about the Oclux and its focus on eye comfort, I was interested in seeing whether it could make my eyes feel better after long days of screen time and eye strain.
I also liked that it was designed to target fine lines and other visible signs of aging around the eyes. Since I already enjoy using skincare devices, that was another reason I wanted to try it.

My First Impressions Of The Oclux LED Eye Mask💖
The Oclux arrived quickly and was packaged nicely. Everything was organized, and the device itself looked well-made. One of the first things I noticed when I took it out of the box, was how lightweight it felt.
I’ve tried other LED therapy masks that feel heavy or put uncomfortable pressure on my face. That is something I have never enjoyed, especially when I’m trying to relax!
The Oclux is much, much lighter and way more comfortable. It weighs approximately 9.9 ounces and has soft padding around the inside that rests against your face.
The padding follows the contours of my face nicely without feeling uncomfortable. I also really like the adjustable head strap! It’s so easy to adjust, and once I have it fitted correctly, the mask stays comfortably in place.
Another thing I’ve noticed is that my eye area doesn’t get sweaty while wearing it. The ventilated design helps keep things cool and comfortable when I use it.
How Does The Oclux Red Light Eye Mask Work?
The Oclux uses two types of light therapy and the red light therapy wavelengths are pretty important.
660nm Red Light Therapy
Red light therapy uses specific wavelengths of visible red light that interact with cells in our skin. Red light has been studied for its potential to support collagen production and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Since the skin around our eyes is delicate and often one of the first areas to show signs of aging, I really liked having a device designed specifically for the eye area only.
850nm Near-Infrared Light Therapy
Near-infrared light has a longer wavelength and can reach deeper into tissue than visible red light. It has been studied for several wellness and skin-related uses, including supporting cellular processes and tissue recovery. The Oclux combines these two wavelengths in its eye-area design.
3 Different Eye Care Modes💫
The LifeZoom Oclux has 3 different modes to choose from.
Eye Comfort Mode
Eye Comfort Mode is designed for people who spend long periods reading, working on computers, or using their phones. And, because of that, this is one of the main reasons I wanted to try the Oclux! After spending hours working on my laptop, taking a short break and using the mask has become something I look forward to doing,
Better Sleep Mode
Better Sleep Mode combines red and near-infrared light and is designed for relaxation before bedtime. I enjoy using this mode in the evening when I’m ready to wind down.
I’ll put on the mask, close my eyes, and relax for about 10 to 15 minutes. It’s a really nice and pampering way to end a long day, especially after spending so much time looking at screens.
Combined Mode
Combined Mode gives you another option to treat your eye-area and give it some pampering care while also being able to relax while doing it. I like having different settings rather than being limited to only one treatment option.
4 Adjustable Intensity Levels
The LED eye mask also includes 4 adjustable intensity levels and they are labeled P1 through P4 and it also has multiple timer settings. The touch controller makes everything easy to adjust and it is obviously attached to the cord so you never lose it and it is always near you. The controller is super easy to figure out and I haven’t had any trouble using it.
My Oclux Eye Mask Results After 3 Weeks✨
Now for the part I know many of you are interested in! You want to know if I have noticed any results, right? Well, I’ve been using the Oclux for around 3 weeks consistently (VERY IMPORTANT!!!), and I usually use it 4-6 times a week, for approximately 10 to 15 minutes per session.
I try to stay very consistent and always use it AT LEAST 4 times per week, but sometimes I use it 6 times a week. It really just depends on how much time I have to pamper myself!
The biggest difference I’ve noticed so far is that my eyes don’t feel nearly as dry as they did before I started using it. Before trying the Oclux, I was reaching for my dry eye drops frequently throughout the day.
Since adding the red light therapy eye mask to my routine, I’ve noticed that I haven’t needed to use those drops as often, thank heavens. And, because of that, my eyes also seem less irritated after spending long periods staring at the screen on my laptop.
Another thing I’ve noticed is that my eyes feel more comfortable overall. I still spend plenty of time looking at screens, but I haven’t been experiencing quite as much discomfort lately. So all of this is VERY promising.
What About My Night Vision?👀
This is something I was particularly interested in because I’ve struggled with night blindness for years. After using this device consistently for 3 weeks, I’ve started to notice that headlights from oncoming cars don’t seem to bother me quite so dang much.I also feel that my vision has been a little bit clearer at times.
However, I want to be careful about how I describe this. These are my personal observations, and I can’t say that the mask will work the same for every one (common sense really but it needs to be said).
And, of course I still have difficulty seeing at night, and the Oclux a not a treatment for night blindness or vision problems, but I am seeing some hopeful results so far from using this eye mask. So I plan on continuing to use it keeping close attention to my vision and how my eyes feel overall.

Has It Helped My Fine Lines So Far?
AS I said above the Oclux is also designed to support the appearance of the skin around the eyes, including fine lines and wrinkles. I’ve only been using it for 3 weeks, so I think it’s still way too early to judge that part yet, but I am paying attention for sure!
I do feel that my eye area looks a little bit fresher looking like I don’t look like a zombie as much every day. But I’m really interested in seeing whether I notice more visible changes after another month or two. I’ll be updating this review as I continue using the eye mask.
How I Use The Oclux In My Skincare Routine🌸
I thought I would talk a bit about HOW I use this red light therapy eye mask in my routine. I like that this device is doesn’t require a complicated routine or any messy gels!
I find myself reaching for easy to use devices over devices that require you to slather on gels as how has time for that every day? Not me! Haha 🙂 So, the easier they are to use, the better for me! I like the ‘grab it, use it, and done with it‘ devices 🙂
My Skincare Routine On The Days I Use The Oclux:
- I usually start by cleansing my face as I normally would.
- Then, I apply my skincare as I usually do each night including my eye serum. I put on my eye serum on about 1-2 minutes before using the Oclux. The Oclux actually helps my skincare to absorb better into my skin and yes, it really does work that way.
- I then will use the Eye Mode (around 10 minutes with eyes open) to allow the red light to amplify the serum’s effectiveness. The light therapy actually enhances absorption of your skincare ingredients because it increases blood flow to your eye area helping your serum to penetrate deeper. By using the red light therapy eye mask after applying your eye serum, you’re maximizing the effectiveness of it! Yay!!!
- After the session is over, I take off the eye mask, and usually roll over and go to sleep if my insomnia doesn’t take over first (oh the joys!). However this light therapy device for my eyes also seems to help a bit with my insomnia too. So that was kind of a pleasant surprise.
The Oclux Is Comfortable To Wear & Has A Long Cord!
The Oclux is really comfy to wear. The soft padding sits comfortably against my skin, and the adjustable strap helps keep the mask in place. It doesn’t feel heavy on my nose or put uncomfortable pressure around my eyes. I also like that it doesn’t trap heat against my face.
Another feature I really appreciate is the long USB power cord! So many devices come with cords that are soooo short and you have to sit right next to an outlet. Thankfully, I haven’t had that problem with this one! The cord is the perfect length.
Plug It In & Use Immediately!
The Oclux doesn’t have a built-in rechargeable battery. Instead, it connects to a USB power source. So you can just plug it in and use it immediately. No waiting for the dang battery to charge. And no anxiety over the battery dying and it stopping halfway through your session.
You can also connect it to a compatible portable power bank, which is a really convenient thing to keep in mind if you’re traveling or not near an outlet to plug it into. I generally use mine while relaxing on the couch or lying down before bed so I always have an outlet nearby.
However, you can also wear this eye mask while doing simple things like reading, watching your fave crime show, making school lunches, etc because, like I said above, you can have your eyes OPEN when using it unlike other red light therapy masks.
So, if you are always busy doing something, you can still use this when doing it. Just be sure you are by an outlet or have a portable power bank to use!

What I Like Best About The Oclux
After 3 weeks of use, there are several things I really liked about this device. Below is a quick list of the things that stood out to me about this device.
What I like & have noticed so far:
- It’s lightweight and comfortable on my face.
- The adjustable strap makes it easy to get a really comfy fit.
- The soft padding doesn’t put uncomfortable pressure around my eyes or across my nose.
- It has 3 different treatment modes & 4 adjustable intensity settings make it easy to set and use.
- The built-in timer makes it more relaxing.
- It works with a USB power source or compatible power bank, so no worries of having to recharge!
- It includes a nice, durable zip up storage case for storing it and for traveling.
- My eyes have been feeling less dry, less irritated, night vision seems a bit better & blurry vision is also a bit better since adding this eye mask device to my routine.
The biggest thing for me is that it’s comfortable, very easy to use, and I feel like it’s helping my eyes. And, that makes me want to keep using the Oclux!
What Comes In The Box?

The Oclux Red Light Therapy For Eyes, comes with everything you need.
Here is what comes in the box:
- Oclux LED light therapy eye mask with adjustable head strap
- Touch controller
- USB power connection
- Storage case that zips up
- User instructions
I really like the sturdy zip up storage case because it keeps everything together when I’m not using it.
Is The LifeZoom Oclux Red Light Therapy Eye Mask Worth It?
For me, the Oclux has been a nice addition to my skincare and wellness routine. I spend so much time on my laptop that taking a little time to relax and focus on eye comfort has been worthwhile. The mask is comfortable, easy to use, and doesn’t require much effort to fit into my schedule.
Like I said above, and I am going to say it again, consistency is key. If you do not use it consistently, it just won’t work, plain and simple. Any device or skincare product, etc., needs to be used consistently in order to see or feel any results. So, make sure you USE IT CONSISTENTLY 😉
