Since spring and summer travels are in the works or being planned, it is time to think about cleaning up and out your vehicle! From all of those times you have eaten in your car during the long winter months and the garbage that has accumulated in your vehicle, it is now time to clean that vehicle out!
You don’t want a stinky, smelly and dirty vehicle when you go on your road trips this summer, do you? I thought not! I have some extremely helpful tips for you to help get your vehicle road trip ready in as little as one hour! Let’s get started, shall we?!?
Clean Your Vehicle For Spring And Summer Road Trips!
*The first thing I like to do (and if you have kids, let them do this step!) is getting a garbage bag and opening all the windows and doors in our vehicle and cleaning it out.
I mean totally GUTTING it out! Get all the garbage out, all the yucky bigger crumbs and paper that you can use a shop vacuum on and put it all in the garbage bag.
*Next step? Use a wet rag and wipe down EVERYTHING inside of your vehicle. From the handles to the steering wheel and dashboard, wipe it ALL down!
*Clean those windows! Use vinegar and water and an old rag and clean the crap out of those windows! Inside AND out! Make them sparkle!
*Third Step? Vacuum the heck out of your vehicle with a shop vacuum. If your child still uses a car seat, take out the car seat and vacuum up all the crumbs and gunk under it. Trust me, there will be A LOT! Vacuum under the seats and don’t forget under the little carpets too!
*Next, add something that smells good like a car diffuser or one of those tree smelly things. I don’t like a lot of perfumey smelling things as it makes me get car sick, but I do like something light and fruity. So, after cleaning my car completely I will add a nice smelling, fruity thing to my rear view mirror. One is enough for me!
*Last, but certainly not least, is taking your car in for a wash! You can save money and do it by hand with your kiddos or you can bring it in, sit back and have it washed for you!
