Today, I have some fun reading and vocabulary games for kids and families, from Mrs Wordsmith! There’s something about pulling out a new game during Christmas break that instantly gets everyone interested.
The kids are home, there’s usually a snack nearby, and for once, nobody is rushing off to school, practice, or somewhere else. See It! Stick It! Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 combines sight words with reusable stickers, and I already know which part little kids are going to care about most, haha! The stickers. 😂

It gives them something hands-on to do while practicing words they will see often when they read. Older kids get Vocabularious, which might be my favorite concept of the bunch! This one is all about words and storytelling, and there are 3 different games inside one set.
It can be played with 1 to 10 players, making it easy to pull out when your favorite cousins are visiting, friends are over, or anyone who needs something entertaining (and educational), to do during the long holiday break.
It’s made for tweens, but I betcha it would be really entertaining to see adults joining in too! Give someone a storytelling game and they are bound to have way too much fun, right?!

Learning Doesn’t Have to Feel Like Learning!
I think it is great that Mrs Wordsmith focuses on helping kids and young adults become stronger, happier readers, but they do it in ways that doesn’t feel like homework or learning at all. It is just fun and entertaining just like games should be!
