Any program that gives back is good in my book. Sydney Paige is Giving Back This Back To School Season One Backpack at a Time. I thought this was wonderful and wanted to share it with you.
Sydney Paige partners up to provide for low-income families as they head back to school this year. Though the school has been in session for a month or so, this is still information that needs to be shared because it is such a wonderful cause!
Giving Back This Back To School Season One Backpack at a Time
More times than not, there are families out there who struggle to get their kids the supplies they need to go back-to-school. Many will not have the means to send their kids off to school with proper supplies.
On an average, 2 in 5 students don’t start school with the supplies they are required to have! Sydney Paige is on a mission to raise awareness for this issue and provide children with essential, quality gear they need in order to receive a proper education.
The backpacks that Sydney Paige provide to these students are made from eco-friendly materials and are made of 100% cotton canvas, natural leather, nickel-free hardware and recycled polyester.
Through their buy one/give one program, Sydney Paige donates a matching bag filled with school supplies to a child in need, EVERY time a purchase is made! Isn’t this amazing and good of them???

I love this very worthy cause. I have heard of teachers purchasing school supplies for children. Surely our education system can do better.

I like these programs but I often wonder where the supplies go. I have some friends that have looked for programs like this and while there were some very close by, nothing that they were able to get anything for their kids. Unfortunately, it seems like there are a lot more people struggling everywhere than there were when I was in school. Of course, back then, the schools supplied most of the supplies- not like now when they want you to buy everything – even tissues & paper towels to send in to the school.

In my area there are a few different organizations that have a backpack and school supplies each year. I know these are much appreciated by both parents and kids.
