Mini Blinds: Inexpensive Interior Design
With mini blinds, you will have the privacy you need as well as be able to let the sunshine in by adjusting the blinds. The thickness of the blinds offers you the ability to keep out as much light as you desire. The colors available are almost endless, so you can easily find the right blinds to match the decor of your home or office.
The best part of all is that mini blinds are much easier to maintain than other types of blinds, which makes them not only cost-effective but also time-saving. Cleaning the mini blinds is truly the only maintenance you will need to perform and it is a breeze. In most cases, all you will need to do is vacuum the blinds when you vacuum the floor.
If you do need to wash them, do so with care and use dawn dish soap. Dawn dish soap removes grim better and is safe to use on all kinds of material. Do not use force as you can bend mini blinds quite easily and you do not want to cause damage.
In most cases, mini blinds are not as durable as wooden ones; however, they do very well in many rooms in the home without taking away from the beauty. If you do not want to use mini blinds in your living room or bedroom but are looking for a type of blind for the kitchen or bathroom that is easy to clean, then mini blinds are a great alternative.
In the majority of cases, mini blinds can be installed without any special tools or hiring a contractor. The main thing to remember is that you must purchase the correct size or you will not be doing yourself any good at all.
Measure the entire inside frame of the window so you can have an accurate measurement to ensure you purchase the correct size blinds. Going with standard blinds is not always the best option as not all windows are standard.
If you purchase blinds that are too short, you will be very disappointed at the look. Take the time to measure and ensure you purchase the color, style, and size you need to enhance the beauty of your home and save money at the same time.
You do not have to spend hundreds of dollars to redecorate, just invest in mini blinds and give your home a facelift that will give it personality.

I’ve been saying that we are going to get new blinds for a while now. We still have the same ones up that we had when we bought the house! Thanks for the reminder!
Chelsea says
I’ve always liked blinds. I like that they can be totally pulled up and tucked away so you don’t even see them, and then at night they offer the privacy.

Those look great! I like that they sit inside the window and don’t stick out.

We have blinds in our house, but I think they’re as old as the house is LOL This is a great reminder of how easy it is to replace them. I think it’s time!

I love that they make mini blinds in different colors. We actually have blue mini blinds in our bedroom and pink ones in the bathroom. 🙂

I like that they set inside the window and don’t protrude into the space.

I love how clean the room looks with the mini blinds in the window. It looks great and I’d never think to do this as decorating but it works.

We have HUGE windows with curtains. I’d rather have vertical blinds for sure.

I definitely need to do this in our new office/guest room. We got new furniture, rug and painted, but I think blinds would really bring the room together.

I may have to look into getting miniblinds. I am so tired of my curtains, I have to wash them all the time and it’s a pain in the butt! It would be easier to just dust blinds!

I like the look of mini blinds. I think they’re really sharp in a home office.

I’m in desperate need for mini blinds in my basement. I have them in every other room and I love them. They were already here when we bought our house so my husband will have to put up the new ones!
Robin (Masshole Mommy) says
Ya know, when we bought our house, the windows had shades on them and we just left them there – and they are still there now. Our house is old & the windows are an odd size, so the shades are custom.

The topic of window is in our home. We live in a home built in the 70’s and since we have such an amazing view we want to avoid the blinds but.. we do have some really high windows that need blinds… eventually.

Mini blinds certainly aren’t what they used to be; they’re so much better and more stylish now! We need to replace the blinds in a few of the bedrooms, and mini blinds are the way to go.
