Did you know that each year on April 8th, National Zoo Lovers Day is celebrated in recognition of the approximately 175 million people who love and visit zoos? I missed it! But, we are still in the process of moving, so visiting a local zoo right now is out of the question!

If you did not make it to the zoo this year on National Zoo Lovers Day and you have a little one, then I have a fun suggestion for you! It may not be the REAL zoo, but the super cute new Tiny Love Gymini Kick & Play City Safari is pretty darn cool! I promise your little one will think so too! The zoo can wait, let your little one play at home with this cool new baby toy!
My new next door neighbor has a really adorable little 8 (almost 9!) month old baby boy! I let her review this for me. I invited them over last week and we set up the play mat. She really liked that this whole set came in a handy plastic case with an easy to carry handle.
Inside was all the goods for the Gymini Kick & Play City Safari! It was easy to put together. One thing we did notice was the snaps on the sides, to make the play mat have little ‘edges’ on the sides, come unsnapped easily.
With any movements from the baby, it would unsnap at the corners, so we opted to not snap them. Which you really don’t ‘need’ to snap them anyways, it was just an added feature for the play mat.
The new Gymini Kick & Play includes your favorite zoo animals from tigers to lions, alligators and more! My neighbors little one seemed really interested in all of the hanging toys and bright-colored zoo animals. He spent quite a bit of time on his new play mat! He loved exploring and discovering these animals!
Some of its features include:
· Fun dual-position baby-activated kick & play response pad that helps develop baby’s senses and encourages motor skills. This was a bit in the way when we tried to attach it to the playmat.
So we decided to just not attach it to the mat and have it on the floor right next to the playmat. That way it was not cluttering the mat and baby could scoot up to it and play with it.
· A number of fun activities including rattling toys, peek-a-boo windows, wind chime and more
· 3 modes of use: cozy closed borders for newborns, arched play gym and extra-large play mat for sitting babies
When playtime is over you can either leave it on the floor or you can easily store it away in the plastic carrying bag it came with.
