An App That Helps Plant Real Trees!

With all these fires lately and forests being burned down, home being destroyed and more, it really makes you nervous and sad. I know it makes me really sad to see so much destruction lately from these fires and lives lost 🙁

I love finding ways to help out the Earth and help make it a better place by doing SOMETHING, anything…

One way we can all start is with a new app I found. This app is so unique and so inspiring because when you play it, you play it to plant a REAL tree in a place of your choice (there is a selection screen at the beginning that gives you a few options of where you want your tree planted). How refreshing to see an app like this one!

 

This mobile app is called the Tree Story, which came out on August 20th and it is free to download on your Android or iOS. You can also purchase it for .99 if you want it ‘ad free’ on Android or iOS.

 

 

 

Tree Story creates real world impact when you play it. It is created by former Disney Interactive artists and game designers, Zig Zag Zoom’s Tree Story invites you to grow cute anthropomorphic ‘virtual pet’ trees. Then, Zig Zag Zoom plants REAL trees with the help of its impressive partners:

ACTrees (an organization representing over 350 local planting organizations)

Arbor Day Foundation

So, as you can see, this game is really something that stands out from other games/apps because you get to plant a real tree! You get to do something good for the Earth! I love this new game!

I easily found and downloaded this game to my iOS. Once downloaded it will ask you if you want to register or just play the game. I just started playing the game. I chose my tree that I wanted to grow (it gives you a few options of what kind of tree you want planted) and then you get to name your tree. I named my ‘Rosey’. 🙂

Rosey my tree is really cute and happy! I am taking really good care of her and she likes it! She has grown twice so far. I can choose which foods to feed her, give her potions, trim and cut her, make sure she is receiving enough sunshine and more!

 

Plus, in this game, in order to help your tree grow, you can play little mini games! They are fun and quite addicting! You earn coins to use for food, toys or other goodies/necessities for your tree friend. There is in app/game purchases you can make as well.

Can’t wait to have my tree grow all the way so I can have her planted! So much fun and for such a wonderful cause, to plant a tree! A real tree! Can’t get better than that!
