My First Impressions Of The Beyond Heat Voice Control Space Heater
The very first thing I noticed when I pulled the Voice Pilot out of its box was how nice it looked! I received the Champagne color, which is gorgeous! It has a sleek, modern appearance that looks beautiful in my home and it literally goes with any decor. It also comes in Silver if you prefer that color, too!
The Voice Pilot stands 23″ tall and is lightweight enough to move around when needed. But don’t let that lightweight design fool you! It feels sturdy, strong, and well-made. Nothing about it feels flimsy or cheap.
Easy To Read Instructions & No Setup Needed
It is SO refreshing to get a new product that doesn’t require downloading an app, creating an account, connecting to WiFi, or spending half your afternoon figuring out how to make it work. Absolutely NO one on this earth has time for that! No one!
Most products I buy, include a huge, thick pamphlet with it explaining in TINY TINY TINY print how to work it. The instructions explain the voice commands easily and instead of leaving you guessing what to say, the guide tells you which function you want to use and the exact words you need to say to make it happen.
And, the Voice Pilot also works right out of the box. Just pull it out of the box, read the easy to understand instructions, place it in a safe location, and plug that baby in! There is no complicated setup process, no Bluetooth pairing, and no internet connection required.
Meet Albi & Nova! The Voices In Your Heater
Now we’re getting to the really fun part! The Voice Pilot features two built-in voice assistants named Albi and Nova. Albi has a male voice, while Nova has a female voice.
Yes, my space heater has two personalities, and of course, I have to talk to both of them! Haha! But these aren’t just cute voices added for entertainment. Albi and Nova are there to help you control your heater without having to touch it.
You can use voice commands to manage the temperature, oscillation, and timer settings. Imagine you’re curled up on the couch under your favorite blanket, watching a terrifying movie (I love scary movies and wanted to tell you that!), and you suddenly feel a little chilly…
Instead of getting up, walking across the room in the dark, and adjusting the heater, you can simply speak to Albi or Nova. Yeah, I know a remote can do the same thing (it comes with one!), but being able to tell your space heater what to do is kinda fun! 😂
How convenient is that? You don’t even have to lift and point a remote to it, all you do is use your voice. Love it! That hands-free control is a wonderful thing! I may have found the perfect excuse to stay snuggled up on my couch all winter long! Just kidding, I am a mom and have kids 😅
Voice Control Without Looking At The Heater
The voice commands and audible responses is such an easy way to operate this space heater. It is helpful for someone who has limited vision, is elderly, people who have trouble moving around, and anyone recovering from an injury.
The ability to speak a command and hear a response can make everyday tasks so much easier. Sometimes your hands are full, you’re holding a baby, you’re working, or you’re finally sitting down after a long day. And that matters!
Being able to ask your heater to adjust the temperature is pretty wonderful. And because the voice control works offline, there isn’t an extra app or any internet setup to manage. It is such a breath of fresh air! Love that!

It Remembers Your Favorite Settings
Albi and Nova can each remember your own favorite combination of heater settings. These can include your preferred temperature, oscillation setting, and timer.
So, for example, you might have Albi set up for your favorite cozy evening settings, and Nova set up for the settings you prefer during the day. Instead of making the same adjustments every dang time, you can call on the voice assistant associated with the settings you want.
It’s a convenient way to switch between your favorite comfort preferences. And since the temperature can be adjusted anywhere from 59°F to 86°F, you have plenty of flexibility.
Heat & Adjustable Thermostat
Of course, all the fancy voice features in the world wouldn’t mean much if the heater couldn’t do its main job, warm you up and keep your home cozy! The Voice Pilot space heater uses 1500 watts of PTC ceramic heating technology.
And, if you’re wondering what PTC ceramic heating means, here’s the easy explanation. PTC stands for Positive Temperature Coefficient. So, in a nutshell it uses ceramic heating elements that naturally increase their electrical resistance as they get hotter. This helps regulate the heating elements temperature.
The heater also uses a fan to move warm air into your room. The result is a powerful little tower heater designed to bring warmth to your space without requiring a huge, bulky unit. I love that it’s sleek and compact but still has the heating power I want during those chilly days and nights.
Another feature I really like is the adjustable thermostat. You can choose a temperature between 59°F and 86°F. Once the room reaches your selected temperature, the heater stops actively heating.
When the temperature drops below the set level, it will start heating again. This means you don’t have to constantly turn the heater on and off yourself. And yes, you can adjust the temperature using your voice!
The 60° Oscillation Makes Everyone Cozy!
Another feature worth mentioning is the 60-degree oscillation. If you’re unfamiliar with oscillation, it just means the heater can turn from side to side while blowing warm air. 😄
So, instead of directing all the warm air toward one area in the room, it spreads the heat evenly across a wider area. This is especially helpful if you’re sitting in a room with other people.
The oscillation helps distribute warmth around the entire room not just certain areas. Sharing is caring, especially when it comes to staying warm! But, you can also turn the oscillation feature off when you want the heater to stay facing one direction.
A Built-In Timer For More Convenience
This voice control heater also includes a timer that can be set for up to 8 hours. This is handy when you want the heater to run for a certain amount of time and then automatically turn off.
Hey, it’s one less thing to remember! The heater also includes a fan mode, giving you another option when you want air circulation without using its heating function.
Safety, Because It Really Matters!
As much as I love the voice control and the pretty sleek design, the safety features are some of the most important things I want to tell you about. Especially if you have children, elderly loved ones, or pets in your home!
Space heaters can absolutely produce a lot of heat, so having multiple built-in safety features is a super BIG deal. The Voice Pilot includes several safety designs intended to help reduce common space heater risks.
Let’s Talk About Those Safety Features:
1. A Cool-to-the-Touch, Felt-Flocked Front Grille
This might be one of the most interesting features on the entire heater! The front grille has a special felt-flocked surface and it is sooooo soft feeling! I find myself running my fingers over it repeatedly because it is so soft lol…
So, instead of having an ordinary exposed metal grille, the front features a soft-touch, felt-like barrier designed to help reduce the risk of burns from accidental contact.
This is really helpful in households with curious little ones, elderly or confused loved ones, or pets who might accidentally brush against the heater as they waltz on by. I appreciate that Beyond Heat put thought into the front grille because people are most likely to touch it and get burned.
2. Tip-Over Protection & Audible Alarm
This is a great feature and, if the heater gets knocked over, its tip-over protection is designed to automatically shut off the heating operation and turn it off.
BUT, Beyond Heat takes that protection a step further with an audible tip-over alarm too. That means if the heater falls over, it can alert you with a sound. The alarm helps you if/when the heater has been knocked over. The audible warning adds another way to know something is wrong. You can never be too safe!
And when you have pets running around your home, knowing that a heater has both a tip-over shutoff and an alarm is very reassuring. I love that the company thought beyond simply shutting the heater off.
3. Overheating Protection
The Voice Pilot also includes overheating protection. This safety feature is designed to shut the heater off automatically if it detects an unsafe overheating condition.
It is important because electrical heating appliances can become dangerous if they overheat. And knowing it has an automatic protection system for overheating, really adds another layer of safety during everyday use.
4. V0 Flame-Retardant Housing
Here’s another safety feature that sounds complicated but is easy to understand. The heater is made with V0-rated flame-retardant housing. V0 is a flame-resistance classification for materials tested under specific conditions.
In simple terms, it means the housing material is designed to resist burning and stop flaming quickly during certain standardized tests. It doesn’t make the heater fireproof, but it does show that attention was given to the materials used in its construction.
When you combine this with the overheating protection, tip-over shutoff, audible alarm, and special front grille, you can see why Beyond Heat keeps talking about its multi-layer safety design!
Use The Remote If You Don’t Want To Say A Word
As much fun as it is talking to Albi and Nova, I also appreciate having other ways to operate the heater. The Voice Pilot space heater comes with a fully functioning remote control. And I have to say, the remote has an impressive operating range in my experience!
It’s convenient to use when I’m sitting across the room and want to make an adjustment without getting up or having to talk. You can also just use the physical buttons on the top of the heater too, if you are right by it (duh).
Accessibility Means A Heater Everyone Can Use
One of the things I noticed when reviewing this voice activated space heater was how much thought went into making it accessible. And I don’t think this part gets enough attention when people shop for home appliances.
Not everyone can easily get up, walk across a room, bend down, read tiny buttons, or operate a complicated control panel. And not everyone can use a remote control (as easy as it sounds, but for some it isn’t!), because of the super tiny buttons, or maybe the batteries died and they cannot get up to find more, etc.
The heater also has Braille indicators on its top control panel by the buttons. And, these markings can help people with visual impairments identify and navigate the controls by touch. I thought this was such a smart design choice! It means someone doesn’t have to depend entirely on a touchscreen or small printed labels.
I am thankful that Beyond Heat considered those challenges when designing this heater and made it accessible for EVERYONE to use. I love that! Good job Beyond Heat! Way to go!
