Congrats to Patricia

*Product received. Opinions are my own.2015-03-13_1322

I love doing crafts with my kids and by myself. Before I had kids, I was quite the crafty one 🙂 I miss those day when I could sit down and create and make things just on a whim. I found out though, with reviewing crafty supplies, kits and more from Stampin’ Up!, that creating a crafty project, does not have to take all day.

Chalkboard Banner Simply Created Kit

Stampin’ Up! has some great kits available on their site as well as DIY cards, stamps, scrapbook items and SO much more! I really enjoy browsing their site, it seems like they are always adding something new to make!

Chalkboard Banner Kit

I was sent a pretty new item of theirs to make. It is the Chalkboard Banner and I had a lot of fun making this! The best part? It only took me about 45 or less to create it!

The Chalkboard Banner Kit comes with everything you need to create a really cute, personalized chalkboard banner. You can choose what you want it to say and you can choose how long (or short) you want it.

Chalkboard Banner Pennants

The Kit Comes With:

15 banner pennants in a chalkboard-coated chipboard (each measures 4″x6″)

32 die-cut paper pennants (each measuring 4″ x 6″)

5 tissue paper pompoms (each measuring 5-1/2″ x 6″)

10 feet of jute twine

chalk

Directions

Personalized Chalkboard Banner Kit

Loved this kit! And, I still have tons of stuff left over, so I am already thinking what my next banner is going to be! I think I will check out the Stampin’ Up! site for some inspiration!

My Toddler Wanted To Make One Too!

adorable toddler coloring with chalk

The little pompom flowers were super easy and fun to make. They are made out of tissue paper and you just carefully separate them and pull them down. At first I was unsure I could do it, but two pom poms later, I knew I could! 🙂

Before you write on the Chalkboard banner pennants, I had to color over them with chalk and then erase them so that they had the ‘chalkboard look’. Otherwise the banner pennants would have just looked like black paper. Makes sense, right? I love how my banner turned out! What do you think?? Do you like it too?

I would hang up a HAPPY ANNIVERSARY banner for me and my hubby’s 7 yr anniversary! Then, since it’s chalk, I wouldn’t have to go run out and buy another one a week later for my hubby’s birthday! This is AHmazing! How creative. People think of EVERYTHING!
