Have you seen Disney’s The Jungle Book Movie? We did not have the opportunity to see it in theaters, so we were SO excited to receive it to review! We watched it TWICE the first day it arrived on our doorstep and absolutely loved loved loved this movie!!!
My son was the first one to see the previews on t.v. when The Jungle Book was first coming to theaters. We were in the process of moving to a different state, so we obviously did not have time to visit a theater to see this movie. My son was so sad!
So my son was so excited when he heard The Jungle Book was coming out on Digital HD August 23 and on Blu-ray™ August 30! When this movie made it’s way to us, there was not a silent moment in this house. My kids were running around everywhere asking if they could watch this right away!
The Jungle Book did not disappoint. In fact, this movie is so good that I had to watch it twice too. I LOVE the fun characters, voice talents behind these characters and just the overall movie. It seriously is a wonderful movie that your whole family will enjoy watching a few times together!

Directed by Jon Favreau (“Iron Man,” “Iron Man 2,” “Chef”) and produced by Favreau and Brigham Taylor (executive producer of “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,” “Tomorrowland”), “The Jungle Book” is a live-action epic adventure based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless stories, inspired by Disney’s classic 1967 animated film and centered on Mowgli (Neel Sethi), a man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat.
The film’s musical score, composed by Emmy® winner and Oscar-, BAFTA- and Annie Award-nominee John Debney (“Elf,” “Iron Man 2”), features a classic orchestral sound accented by ethnic instruments and pays homage to the original film by highlighting snippets of the classic songs we all know and love.
