I think there should be! Whenever I am feeling a bit blue or depressed, I absolutely LOVE shopping. I can do some real damage too, if I am not careful! I need some shopping detox, myself. I am sure we all could use it! I love scoring great deals!
Shopping when upset, sad or whatever, is not really the best idea. And now, you can shop online, so that just makes it even more easier! It is nice, don’t get me wrong, but, now when I am upset or sad, I can shop from the comfort of my home. Oh dear, it can be bad..
You must have a budget or shopping limit. If you don’t, things could get pretty ugly. I have heard stories before, and they never have a good outcome.
One way to keep things good, is to open a savings account. That way, if you do happen to overspend, you always have a backup. Always have a backup plan!
Nothing is worse than waking up one morning with an emergency and you have no funds at all. Always have some money, somewhere. We are starting to save up money in ours and we add some every time my hubby or I get paid. It is a MUST, especially when you have kids.
Make sure you have a savings account with some money in it. Add to it when you are able to do so and then forget you have it! I never check the balance in our savings account, I just add to it. I think that is the smartest way to do it. There are lots of banks out there, just choose which one fits your needs.
So, is there really such thing as ‘shopping detox‘? Well, if there is not, there should be! Anyone and everyone who loves spending money, need a reality check once in a while 😉

You would have thought that starlets would go to shopping detox, but that must be the one thing they won’t give up – alcohol, drugs, whatever, but don’t take the shopping. I’m in a forced detox from being out of work. it gets old!!! I try a giveaway or two in between job applications!

I think that you are right: good habits like sticking to budgets and saving regularly can cut down on the need to detox from shopping. Although internet shopping is definitely a major temptation for me…

I dont think you can “detox” from shopping because it is something you always have to do LOL Thankfully when I go on sprees, I rarely spend more than $100!
