When the weather gets hot, my bedroom can go from so dang cozy to a sauna real quick. When I received the Zafro Dual-Hose Inverter Portable Air Conditioner to review, I immediately set it up because I was NOT going to wait for the hot weather to make its way to me!! Nope. Not this year! My Hot Bedroom Didn’t Stand A Chance Against This Portable AC Unit! Ha!

The model I received is the Zafro Dual-Hose Inverter Portable Air Conditioner with 16,000 BTU cooling power, (or 12,000 BTU SACC). It is designed for larger indoor spaces and can cool up to 600 square feet.

My Hot Bedroom Didn’t Stand A Chance Against This Portable AC Unit!
One of the first things I noticed was how easy this portable AC was to set up. I had my oldest son do this and it was installed and running in about 20 minutes.
The window kit and exhaust hoses were simple enough to figure out, and once it was ready to go, the cold air started coming out fast and circulating throughout my home. Man it felt GREAT!!!
And when I say cold air, I mean freezing cold air. The air coming out of this unit feels crisp and refreshing just like I was standing outside in the cold air in the winter time. And, it made my bedroom feel so much more comfortable and not so stuffy and stale.
I also noticed that the cool air from my bedroom started reaching into my living room, kitchen, and beyond. I love that it helps to cool other areas of my home too!
What I love most about this Zafro Portable AC is that it feels powerful without being loud. Some portable air conditioners pretty loud, and no thank you to that! This AC is much quieter than I expected (Zafro says the unit can operate as low as 38 dB in Sleep Mode). It runs quietly enough that I can relax, sleep, or go about my day in peace.
The dual-hose design is another thing that I liked. Unlike a single-hose portable AC, a dual-hose system helps prevent negative indoor pressure, and it helps the air conditioner cool the room faster. It also keeps the temperature more even instead of constantly pulling in warm air from other areas. So, that is why the air is soooo cold! Love it!
It also uses a full DC inverter system, which helps the air conditioner adjust its cooling more smoothly instead of constantly turning on and off at full blast and I do NOT like it when AC’s do that so that was nice to learn!
Another feature I appreciate is the smart control option. I can use the control panel on the unit, the included remote, or just use the app and control it from my phone! I love that because if I am already comfy in bed, I do not want to get up just to change the temperature.
This AC unit has something called self-evaporative technology. That just means that it recycles condensed water to help improve cooling efficiency. Zafro says that in environments with humidity below 90%, it can run without manual drainage, which helps cut down on maintenance.

The design is modern, has caster wheels (so it can be moved around easily), and feels strong. It is not flimsy or cheap-feeling at all. I like that I can use it in my bedroom, move it to another room if needed, and not feel like I am dealing with some giant complicated machine.
The Zafro Dual-Hose Inverter Portable AC also has four-way airflow, a washable filter, low standby power use, and uses R32 refrigerant. These are smaller details, but they all add to the convenience and overall quality of the unit.
Overall, I am really impressed with the Zafro Portable AC. It was easy to set up, cools my bedroom (and other parts of my home!) quickly, runs quietly, and gives me several ways to control it. I especially love that it makes my room feel cool and tolerable on those hot days when regular fans just are not cutting it.
