It is not an overnight thing though and I have worked extremely hard to make the money I do. I have been blogging since 2008 and have put countless hours of work, tears, and sweat into my blog.

The hard part is actually finding that money-maker and making it work for you. There is so much out there, and it can be overwhelming, believe me, I know!
It took me a few tries to find what exactly works for me and I stuck with it and built an online business that not only helps with our monthly bills but also has helped me tremendously in other areas of my life.
Being self-employed comes taxes and also other things. It definitely is harder because you have to keep track of EVERYTHING! All your expenses, etc. So, if you do start an at-home business, definitely invest in a tax recording book so that you can write down ALL your expenses, etc. Lifesaver for sure!
So keep that in mind. Have a separate part of your home, like an office, to keep all your payments, records, and receipts so you know where they are at if you want to apply for an Associates Home Loan and for filing self-employment taxes at the beginning of the year. VERY important

The first thing I would suggest doing is researching what you are interested in doing and Ways To Earn Money At Home, and go from there. There are a ton of bloggers already on the web already, but you are unique and you have your own stories to tell.
There is enough room on the net for you too! So, if that is what you want to do, then I would suggest contacting other bloggers for advice, joining groups on Facebook, and interacting with other bloggers and social media influencers. Leading a successful online business can be done! You just have to put the work into it like anything else.
If you are not interested in becoming a blogger but are interested in becoming an online influencer, meaning joining Tiktok, Instagram, Twitter, and creating your own Facebook Fan page, then that can work too.
Usually, when you have a big enough following and keep your audience engaged with fun things, you can start reaching out to brands and companies to collaborate with them.
Be authentic, use your own voice, and never ever pay for your followers. Grow your audience authentically!! Brands will start to notice, I promise!
This is a great way to earn a bit of extra income as well as get some product in return for you talking about them and introducing them to your audience. It is so fun and is one of my most favorite ways to earn money!
The second money-maker, I am getting familiar with, is Affiliate Marketing. I have signed up at many affiliates and built a website myself to maintain the affiliates and market my website is easy and free! This is not a get-rich-quick scheme, but once it starts going, it does pretty well!
I am actually impressed with this. Impressed enough to go and buy business cards to promote it. I am very excited about this, and so far have earned some money.
You have to have some sort of a following either on your blog or social media so that you can promote your affiliate links without looking spammy. In this post, I have included some of my Amazon affiliate links.
I sprinkle them throughout my blog posts (only if they make sense to do so) and that helps me to make at least $40 a month from my affiliate sales. That is for Amazon only.
I also do other affiliate brands and I make a VERY good living for just promoting products I already use and absolutely love (like this one!)!
The third money-maker that I am just now starting to do, is building websites. There is a lot of money to made in that, but I also am new at this and need to research like crazy.
If you have a little time, are creative, and know a bit about website building, I would do this too. I did put my website together for the most part, but of course, I did not do it all!
There is A LOT of background stuff I am still learning. With my website now, I hired someone to do it for me. So, this is definitely something I am learning!
If you are not interested in the things above, how about writing? Bloggers are always looking for great content and some pay good money for it.
Of course, it must be unique to their site only and be informative, trustworthy (research!), and should answer questions or help people in some way.
I have started writing a bit and putting my articles in a folder so that when I am ready, I will try and sell my articles for some spending money. So, if you are funny, unique, or have a thing for writing some good articles, this is definitely for you!
