Find A Safe Place For Your Dog While You Are Away Traveling

Do you have a lovable dog that you just cannot stand to leave behind, when you go on vacation? Are you not sure who would watch and care for your dog, lovingly, while you are away, so you never get away? If you said yes, you are not alone. Many people either take their dogs on vacation with them or simply do not venture anywhere, because they cannot find, quality, affordable and caring individuals they can TRUST, to watch their canine friends.

Hey, my mother-in-law does this. She will NOT go anywhere overnight, unless there is someone who can care for her canines, the way she does. It is hard to find someone you can trust and someone you can put your puts life into their hands, while being away. I get that, I do. I feel the same way about my kids, that is why I NEVER go anywhere without them!!

There could be a simple solution for all you dog owners out there, though. It is DogVacay and here is how it works! DogVacay is simply an online community that connects dog owners with  20,000 (or so..) vetted and insured pet sitters across North America. These pet sitters are ready to care for your dog, just like a family member of their own!

When you make a reservation, it will include free pet insurance, 24/7 customer support, daily photo of your furry canine enjoying a ‘Vacay’ of his very own!! Now YOU can finally take a trip with peace of mind, knowing your dog is being taken care of the way you would care for him/her and at half the price of the local kennel. I say that is GOOD!!

How On Earth Do I Get Started?!

Glad you asked! It is simple! Just follow the steps below!

*Type in your zip code and find a sitter you trust, in your neighborhood

*Schedule a meet ‘n greet to meet the sitter, then book your pup’s Vacay and pay online (Rates start at $25/night)!

My dog had serious anxiety if I left here somewhere overnight. Heck, she had serious anxiety if I took her anywhere. She was so sweet though. I’ll have to tell my sister about this place. She’s always looking for somewhere to take her dog when she’s out of town.

  4. This is a wonderful idea for pet owners and lovers! Definitely going to save this

  9. April Farley says:

Thank you for letting the community know about this! I have a hard time doing anything because of our little 4 legged family member. He came to us 2 years ago. He had a hard life before he landed here at his forever home. He suffers from separation anxiety SO BADLY that I have to let him come into the bathroom with me. When I take a shower he sits on the rug and cries because he can not see me. It is awful! When I go to the grocery the entire time I am gone he acts as if he will surely perish. He cries real tears. It is so very sad. It is flustering at times as I have never had a special needs pet like this. He was thrown from a car rolling along around 45 MPH. In front of witnesses. He only weighs 10lbs. It is a miracle he was not killed! So needless to say he has issues. Wouldn’t you if that happened to you? So I search for someone trust worthy with nerves of steel and plenty of patience & empathy to dog sit for us. This sounds like the perfect site for that!

Wow, this is awesome. Being a mom of three dogs I did not even know this was an option!

  16. I think this is a wonderful idea. We hold off traveling at times because I just hate the idea of leaving our dog in a kennel.

  17. This is a wonderful service! Part of having a great vacation means knowing everything back home is safe and secure, and for our family, that includes our dog.

  18. Marti Tabora says:

This is definitely a great idea. I never really go anywhere that I can’t take my dog because I don’t have anyone that I trust to watch him and I would have to board him and he gets nervous in strange places.

Oh this is why i do not go no where ..Not that i could but 2 cats and a chihuahua is not good
to travel the world with .I would worry if i won a vacation otherwise , I haven’t had on in yrs and i mean a decade or 2 .. home sweet home 😉

  20. Deborah Dorris says:

Sounds like a great thing, and I would only if in chances of I absolutely could not have my pet with me. But even in a place where they would be well taken care of, many pets get separation depression, and I still could not let mine go through that.

    • Hey Deborah! We actually have a huge number of Hosts who are specifically trained to deal with separation anxiety. Just call our Concierge and tell them what kind of care your pup needs, and they’ll match you with the perfect Host in your area. 🙂

  21. This is such a great idea- never knew such a thing existed!

  22. Rebecca Johnson says:

This is a wonderful idea for all pet lovers!
