Playing Bingo Brings Me Back To The Good Old Days!

Growing up, my whole family, around the holidays, would play board games galore! It was so much fun and something I do now with my children.

We sit around that card table and play games. I make finger foods and we have spiced apple cider and we just go for it. One of the games that I LOVED growing up was the Bingo game. I was always in charge of rolling that ball and taking out the bingo game piece and saying out loud to everyone, what it was! Too much fun.

It is funny though, now that everything is being played on the computer, I was excited to learn that you can play online Bingo!!!! Woot! No more having to cart around that big old bingo ball (though it is FUN!!!), you can just go online and play until your heart is content. And, if no one else in your home wants to play bingo with you, well then find others online who do! It is a win/win situation if you ask me ;)

So, playing bingo has always been something I would play with my family while growing up, as well as other fun board games, and now my kids enjoy it too! I hope that when my kids are older, they will sit down like we do now, and play games with their kids too! It is quality family time that people don’t really get anymore, with their families and playing games is a great way to start spending time together!!

So, do you play board games with your family? What about Bingo?

Operation: Cars 2 Edition Review and Giveaway!

CONTEST IS OVER! CONGRATS TO

Eric Henry #358!!

Just in time for the release of Disney/Pixar’s “Cars 2” on June 24th, comes a brand new line of Cars 2 games! Including; Operation, Sorry! Sliders, Monopoly and more!

In Operation: Cars 2 Edition, Mater is carrying some extra junk and his engine is starting to clunk! Put on your mechanic hat and help fix his busted grill and gear in Operation: Cars 2 Edition. Mater can’t go on his next adventure with all of that rattling, so grab the tweezers and get to work! Repair Mater’s crazy quirks, such as Leaky Oil, Spare Tire and Tow Jam, and be careful not to touch the sides as you motor to the finish line.

Me and my kids received the Operation: Cars 2 Edition game from Hasbro, and love it. I loved the original Operation game when I was  younger. Played it all the time with my 6 other siblings! It sure took a while to be my turn again, with so many family members playing at different times, but goodness this was a blast when my turn finally did come around again!

I also liked the little drawer on the side of the game, to keep all the pieces so they won’t get lost!

This is truly a great family game. I still enjoy this game, years later. It is so fun watching my kids concentrate to get the little things out of Mater. It teaches your kids hand/eye coordination, and I think that is great! Going on a trip away from home? Well bring this board game, you won’t regret that you did :)

Skunked: The Ultimate Risk-Taking And Pushing The Limits Game!

I love games that make me think and that really get you involved. Me and my family are always playing board games and we absolutely love them!

I was very excited when we were able to review the game called Skunked by Marina Games. It is the ultimate game of risk-taking and pushes you to the limits!

My kids are still pretty young for this game, so me and my hubby played it while the kids played nearby with one of their games. It is really easy and fun to play. You just roll the dice and add the score. Then, you choose to roll again or note your score and pay your chips to the pot! You have to try not to get “skunked”. See how high you can roll without rolling a one! Super fun and certainly is engaging!

I won twice and my hubby won only once :)

This is a game that I will be taking with me on family outings when I go to see my siblings. Growing up we were ALWAYS playing games like Skunked. So, this will be a part of our family fun for years to come, I am sure.

When me and hubby were done playing this game, I then turned this game into a counting game with my kids. They loved it. We just rolled the dice and how ever many they rolled they had to give the other player on their right that many of their chips. The first person who ran out, wins!

So, you can find different ways to play this game with the younger kids!

Do you play family games in your home? If so, which ones?
