5 European Countries to Visit This Summer
If Europe is at the top of your list of destinations to visit this summer travel season, below are five European countries for you to visit this summer!
The United Kingdom
Although the UK is not a country itself, it is comprised of four beautiful countries: England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Although you can’t drive to Northern Ireland, seeing the other three countries by car is a great trip.
You can start in London and see one of the capitals of Europe and the capitals of art, culture, commerce, business, and the Royal Family. There is a lot of history from Shakespeare to WWII to explore with some of the top restaurants and theaters in the world.
You can then start over to Wales and up to Scotland to see some of the most beautiful, green terrains in all of the continent.
You can stay in UK caravan parks along the way and meet other tourists and locals on their journeys through this beautiful land. All the while you can see castles, learn about folklore, and be a part of local festivals and celebrations.
Ireland
If you do make your way to Northern Ireland, not only can you explore this interesting land, but you can also drive into the Republic of Ireland. While in Northern Ireland, you can visit the northern town of Portrush. Here you will find gorgeous hotels and bed and breakfasts nestled into the shoreline that looks out onto the North Sea.
From there, you can go to the Giants Causeway, which is a rocky cliff that looks like steps. Local Northern Ireland folklore says that giants came out of the sea and formed the cliffs to look that way.
If you have the stamina to get up the hills, you will come to a beautiful walkway on the top that is surrounded by farmland where you can see all of the towns below.
In the Republic of Ireland, there is so much to see as the roads wind through farmland and hills of emerald. If you make it to Dublin you can see some of the most famous pubs and churches in the city. If you go over to the western coast of the country you will see the Cliffs of Moher.
They are similar to the Giants Causeway as they are major cliffs that overlook the Atlantic Ocean giving breathtaking views never experienced before. Stop in County Galway by the university and take in all of the restaurants and nightlife.
Greece
The cradle of civilization, Greece should be at the top of everyone’s list. It is one of the most breathtaking countries in all of Europe. If you visit the islands of Mykonos and Santorini, you are in for quite the treat. Mykonos seems to never close.
Restaurants and entertainment seem to be open all night for your enjoyment. Some of the best Greek food is on this island where you can get gyros at every turn. Cats roam the island and if you visit the area known as Little Venice, you will find buildings built into the hills on canals of water.
Like Mykonos, Santorini has some of the best beaches in the Mediterranean. The island was once a volcano and you can take a ferry out to the caldera where you can jump off of your boat and swim into the hot springs for a natural mud bath.
After that, you can hike up the caldera to the top where the volcano was once active. Santorini has also been voted the second-best sunset in the world, so make your way to the tip of the island to experience this natural wonder.
Croatia

The most popular attraction is the Blue Cave, which can only be accessed by a guided tour. If you are heading to Croatia then book this tour immediately. You will sail into a cave that is completely enveloped in blue light.
