Chicken Soup Recipe

Yep, just like the title says, Chicken Soup recipe!!! And let me tell you it is REALLY good. Since the weather is turning a bit chillier, what better way to celebrate than with a hot cup of homemade Chicken Soup???

(I realize my camera does not take very good pictures, so this soup does not get the justice it deserves..)

A delicious chicken soup to soothe your chilly, achey bones!

Serves: 8
Ingredients
  • 3 Cups of Water
  • 1 Box of Chicken Broth
  • 2 Celery Stalks diced
  • 1 Large Carrot cut up
  • 4-5 medium Mushrooms cut up
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • Johnnys Salt (to taste)
  • 1 lb of chicken breast, chopped
  • ½ bag of egg noodles
Steps
  1. Brown chicken in sauce pan/skillet and add Johnnys salt to taste
  2. Boil 3 cups of water and 1 box of chicken broth in pot
  3. Add ½ bag of egg noodles (let cook and soften)
  4. Add chicken (cooked of course)
  5. add celery, carrots, mushrooms, onions and stir

I also added Rhodes rolls (google it if you don’t know what they are, they ROCK) and my kids, me and hubby LOVED this!!! Mmmmm! And, if you liked this, here is another slow cooker variation of it: Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup

    Look at all those veggies! Yum!
    My daughter’s favorite soup is Chicken Noodle so I’m gonna have to ‘attempt’ to make this Chicken soup for her. I am a total novice in the kitchen, but I will attempt most things once. If I do it, I’ll let you know how it turns out. Keep your fingers crossed I don’t burn down the house. Eeeekk!

    One of our favorite soups is chicken noodle. But, we hate mushrooms and celery so you will never see that in my soup. And, I make my noodles by hand πŸ˜‰ They rock πŸ™‚
