Nothing is worse than finding out your little one isn’t feeling well. It makes me feel so bad for them. I hate it when my kids are sick!
When your little ones are sick, the last thing they want to do is stick a thermometer in their mouth to see if they have a fever. That’s why I like the Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer. This thermometer uses infrared to easily takes your child’s temperature, so there’s no putting it in their ear or having them hold it under their tongue. It’s completely non-invasive and I love it.
How Does The Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer Work?
The thermometer comes with laminated instructions, so they won’t get wet or ruined! Whether you want your readings in Celsius or Fahrenheit, English or Spanish, simply turn on the power button and press SCAN. Put it 2-4 inches from the skin’s surface for less than a second. After a ‘beep,’ it’ll show your child’s temperature.
It also has a quick scan feature, reading kids’ temperatures in the most accurate and consistent way — touch-free. There’s even a separate function for measuring room temperature.
What’s more, this is a talking thermometer! It won’t just show the temperature, it will actually tell you it. You can choose which language (English or Spanish) or you can set it to silent so it won’t talk. I love this feature because I can take my kid’s temperature in the dark without waking my little one and have the thermometer simply relay the information to me.
I also really like that this thermometer comes in a plastic case. When you open up the case, it also holds the two batteries for it! I love that. Often, devices don’t come with the batteries required and it can be so annoying, so I was super happy that they were included so I could use the thermometer right away!
The best part: it was so easy to take my kid’s temperature! I just held the thermometer next to his skin and, almost instantly, I got his temperature. Easypeasy!
It was also great to learn that the Dr. Madre Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer has a two-year manufacturer replacement warranty and a 30-day, hassle-free money back guarantee! This product feels really durable and I can tell it will last a long time, but it’s still nice to know I can replace it without worry should something go wrong.

What Do I Do When My Child Gets Sick?
I’m no doctor, so the first thing you should do when your kid is sick call your child’s doctor. After you do that, I would make sure they don’t have a fever. Using the Dr. Madre Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer is the perfect way of finding out if your child is running a high temperature.
Next, give your child lots of liquids, if they can handle it, to keep them hydrated. If they’re hungry but unsure on what to eat, give them some chicken soup to sip on and some saltine crackers.
Make sure your child is comfortable with a nice pillow and blanket. Turn on the TV or put on a movie to help keep your child entertained and to keep their mind off feeling sick.
And of course, snuggle with them! One thing I’ve realized is that when my little ones aren’t feeling well, pretty much all they want is their mommy.
