In this post, we are talking about pests to look out for in your home. Now that the new year is here the weather is soon to start warming up ready for spring.
Winter is a great time in terms of pests because the weather is cold enough to kill them off before they can strike – but in the spring you will start to notice more movement of pests and bugs creeping back into your home to take over it, sigh. Ugh!
I love warmer weather and I LOVE the sun shining outside but I cannot stand it when bugs come creeping into my home and most importantly, in my bedroom! NO! Stay out!

Pests To Look Out For In Your Home
Today we want to take a look at some Pests To Look Out For In Your Home which ones you really need to keep an eye out for this winter and spring and how to deter them from making a home in yours. Below, are Pests To Look Out For In Your Home.
Wasps
Wasps will not usually come into your home directly however they will often look for sheltered spots such as window frames or your roof to build their hive and stay safe.
This in itself, of course, isn’t an issue however when you start getting wasps coming into your home through the walls and windows it can be dangerous for you and your family.
To deter wasps from your windows and doors you can hang some Rosemary sprigs which are strong smelling – and you should also make sure the roof and walls are sealed.
Spiders
It is a bit of a debate whether spiders are a pest or not because on one hand they help manage the infestation of other smaller pests, and on the other, they are invasive and scare the heck out of many of us.
For the best spider pest control, you need to consider calling a professional to help you assess where the spiders are coming in from and seal up these areas. Most of the time a spider is happy living in the walls so if you seal your home off you shouldn’t have too much of a problem.
Fleas
Fleas are brought in by your pets from the outside and they literally leap at the chance to be in a nice warm home. They will take over quickly if you don’t deal with them swiftly and there are a few things you can do to help this.
First of all, treat your pet for fleas with a spot-on treatment. Once you have done this and got rid of the bulk of the fleas you will want to use a flea spray in each room of the house – ensuring to shut the door to keep in the fumes.
Then last but not least you should bathe your pet in flea shampoo to get rid of eggs. Check out pest control jackson michigan for more help with these pesky bugs.
Mites
Mites are tiny little creatures and they look very much like a small grain of sugar. They love to feed on pantry ingredients such as flour, pasta, and sugar and they will invade easily if you don’t control them.
To get rid of more infestation you need to find the food source and triple bag it before throwing it out. Then clear all of the cupboards and bleach everything.
You may even need to bleach all of your plates and pans if the infestation is large. To prevent mites make sure to store your food in airtight jars and seal up any cracks.
