When we moved here to Idaho, I really had no clue what cold was. I experienced the cold for the first time in December. I and my kids were at an outdoor play and there were little fires everywhere to keep everyone warm. It was TWENTY BELOW!!!! Talk about COLD.
So, yes, me and my family have now experienced what real cold is! The weather here is so different then in Washington! But, we are getting used to it. It is a snow storm right now as I write this. But, the kids still have school! We have about 8 inches and counting and have snow drifts up to about 5 feet. But, the kids still had school.. haha. Something else we are getting used to, no school closures, EVER!
My family and I can stay warm this winter with Carhartt, though. Carhartt has some really nice coats, vests, overalls and more for the whole family. I think every here in our town owns several things from Carhartt! It is a staple for most families to own Carhartt products. We are learning slowly what we need to have on hand when the cold weather hits!
Some things my hubby received recently to stay warm this winter, from Carhartt, are:
SANDSTONE MOCK-NECK VEST
SHORELINE VAPOR JACKET In Camo
My hubby loves these and wears them ALL the time. The Sandstone Mock-Neck vest is his favorite because it keeps him very warm with the Sherpa liner, and he doesn’t have to wear a coat during the day. It is also water repellant and wind resistant, so it really keeps him warm. It has two inside pockets so my hubby can hold his keys in and phone/wallet if he wants to. The map pocket with zipper closure is a great feature for any adventurer. This vest comes in 5 different colors: dark brown, gravel, Carhartt brown, light brown/black and moss/black. It retails for $74-79.99.
The Shoreline Jacket looks really good on my hubby. It fits him well and he feels comfortable in it. I like the camo design, really nice looking. This jacket is light-weight, breathable and waterproof. It has a nylon shell, attached adjustable hood so you can stay protected, full-length front zipper with outer and inner storm flaps & adjustable hook-and-loop cuffs to keep the weather out and it also has a matching pant to go with it if you decide to go that route. The jacket comes in 3 different colors: black, charcoal/shadow and black/dark khaki digi camo. This jacket retails for $109-119.99.

My family has been a fan or the Carharrt brand for many years. Their clothes are durable and hold up to more than the average wear and tear. Staying warm has not been hard in our area. We’ve had a couple of weeks of cold weather but otherwise we can wear shorts if we like!
