Women And The Rise Of The Cosmetic Procedure Industry

Please Share!

Beauty isn’t always skin deep; it’s what inside that matters most. Yet, we live in a very visual world where looks do matter, and first impressions do count. While beauty is subjective, we women tend to objectify it, especially when we are looking at our own reflection in the mirror!

This has led to a rise in the number of cosmetic procedures that women undergo – sometimes it’s for correction and other times just to enhance a particular body part or trait. Whatever the reason, there is a significant rise in both cosmetic surgeries and women cosmetic surgeons (after all, who can understand a woman better than a woman herself?) in the past few years, and it looks like this trend is here to stay.

Women And The Rise Of The Cosmetic Procedure Industry

Here are some of the most popular cosmetic procedures women undertake to look and feel good:

Botox

Botox has been around for some years now but it continues to be high in the popularity stakes. The Botulinum toxin is injected into the face to smoothen out fine lines and wrinkles, thus making the facial skin look firmer, tighter, and younger. Botox, however, isn’t a one-time solution – one needs to keep taking the injections every few months.

Forehead And Brow Lift

This is a variation of the botox treatment but focuses on just the forehead and brow area rather than the full face. It helps to smoothen out the deep forehead and frown lines as well as refresh the eye area.

Nonsurgical instant brow lift treatments include Laser, Instalift, and Fillers, among others while for those with extensive sagging and deep forehead wrinkles, surgical brow lift treatments are also available. Of course, if you don’t want to go in and have a little botox done you can always opt for the hyaluron pen and do it yourself like I did!

Acne and Anti-Aging Treatments

One might associate acne with teenagers but adult acne is a common occurrence too. And the scars left by it make many women feel insecure about their looks, which in turn makes them lose confidence in public.

Treatments including special facials, laser technology, chemical peels, and the like help to clear out the acne and/or old acne scars, leaving clear and healthy-looking skin.

Breast Lifts and Breast Augmentation

Women somehow are never satisfied with their breasts, be it their size, shape, or both. This is why cosmetic surgeries involving the breast are always popular. Breast lifts are also common among mothers who, after all their pregnancies and all that breastfeeding, want their breasts back to what they were prior to pregnancy and motherhood.

From silicone breast implants to breast reshaping and contouring, women can now choose how to transform their breasts the way they desire.

Tummy Tuck

The belly – the biggest problem area for most women! This makes the tummy tuck procedure so popular; again, a lot of moms go for this one after what their tummies have been through post-pregnancy.

Laser Hair Removal

Unwanted facial and body hair – women’s biggest beauty-related problem. While there are loads of options available such as waxing, shaving, threading, and hair removal creams, these are all temporary. This is why a lot of women are now opting for laser hair removal. While a number of sessions might be needed, it is a more permanent solution.
