I had the chance to try this out. Nope, I am not pregnant, but my friend is! So, I called her up and she came over to pick up the Lullabelly to give it a try.
She called me a week later, and this is what she said to me:
It was easy to put on and figure out. It is very comfortable and it adjusts well. It is soft and cushy feeling. Comfortable over clothes and under. It uses a standard audio plug that is compatible with any portable music player, and she really liked that. She downloaded songs on her iPod and put it in the little pocket in the front of the Lullabelly and then used the earphones that the Lullabelly came with to listen to her music. The Lullabelly with the iPod in it, allows for the baby to hear too!
The Lullabelly has a separate volume control, which she said was nice, so that she can control the volume that she was hearing and at the same time, control the music that the baby hears too. She also noted that the maximum volume of the Lullabelly is great, because it only goes so loud. It is just as loud as when you are talking to your baby, so it won’t hurt baby’s little ears!
Though she never wore this out, she liked that she could wear this out, or at least in her car, while driving around running errands. This is machine washable, and washes very easily. To remove the speaker, you just unzip the large front pocket and within the front pocket separate the hook & loop fastener to access the speaker and cord and then you are safe to wash it!
INSTRUCTIONS:
* Simply use the adjustable straps to comfortably secure Lullabelly around your waist (either secured behind the back or easily secured in front and twisted around). Be sure the Lullabelly speaker is facing inwards towards your belly (“This Side Towards Belly” will display on the garment tag).
*Unzip the large front pocket to retrieve the audio plug and volume control dial, and plug the Lullabelly speaker into any portable music player.
*Use the included audio splitter and earphones to listen along to the music. Simply plug the splitter into your portable music player, plug the Lullabelly speaker into one side of the splitter, and plug your earphones into the other side of the splitter.
*Set the volume level on your portable music player, and then raise or lower the Lullabelly speaker with the built-in volume control dial.
