I was able to browse their delicious site and choose a main dish, side dish and dessert to enjoy with my family. I chose the Steakhouse Seasoned Flat Iron Beef Steaks, Rotini Alfredo with Broccoli Florets and the yummy Loaded Waffle Cone Peanut Butter Swirl Ice Cream!!! It arrived safe and sound in a styrofoam cooler with dry ice. The ice cream was still frozen, and so was the food. I decided to cook this last weekend, and let the steaks defrost. I cooked the steaks in my oven covered with tin foil. I cooked the Rotini Alfredo with Broccoli Florets in the microwave.
The steak is sooo tender and when you bite into it, it is not tough in the least. It feels soft in your mouth! And it is very tasty. I put a bit of Johnny’s Salt and Garlic salt on it, but that is the only seasonings I put on it. It was just so dang good. The Rotini Alfredo was really good too. It was a bit smaller than I thought it would be, but it ended up feeding me and the 2 kids easily. It was very creamy and the broccoli was almost raw, it was so crunchy! I have never experienced such freshness from a frozen dinner before! The ice cream, I don’t even need to really tell you! Just by the name of the ice cream, will have you drooling, it was so good! HUGE pieces or stripes of peanut butter in it and crunchy pieces of waffle cone. So good!
Our Schwan’s experience was great. The food did not disappoint and it was great for a busy day when I had no energy to do a whole lot. Easy prep and that was great!
