Cloth diapers. Do you like them? Have you ever tried them? Me, I have not. So I was excited when I was contacted to try out the new Bambino Mio Cloth Diapers! I was sent two of them, super cute by the way, one has stars on it and the other has spots on it. It also came with the Miofresh cloth diaper cleanser. I put the first one on my little baby girl right away. I have NEVER had experience with cloth diapers before, so this was our very first! And, of COURSE my dear daughter had to do the runniest poop EVER in it! K, putting me to the test and putting this cloth diaper to the test! It did not leak, at all! Very impressed with that! I slowly took it off, and cleaned her up. I then moved into the bathroom and shook it off a bit in the toilet. Then I put some of that Miofresh cloth diaper cleanser on it and kind of rubbed it together in the sink. Then I washed the cloth part and the cute “soaker” part, in my wash. It washed clean in my washer and was actually not a bad experience at all for us! I did not mind doing it this way, especially if it can save me money in the long run! Sure, it is an extra little thing you have to do, but it is easier on my wallet too and better for our environment.
I have to say when I first put it on my daughter, she looked at me like, ok, what now? LOL! She is use to the slenderness of the disposable diapers. The cloth diapers are a bit thicker. But, after a little while, she was totally comfortable in them and had forgotten that she even had a different diaper on. What I really liked about these too, is that she did not try and take them off. I am not sure why, but she wanted them on. So, that is great, because that is something I am struggling with, with her! She is ALWAYS trying to get naked! Then her brother does too, and AHHHHHHHHH!! They have a really good snug fit too. I like how they fit around her little legs nicely.
A bit about these Bambino Cloth Diapers (Nappies):
They are a two piece system, consisting of 100% cotton cloth diapers. They have a Miosoft Cover and other accessories such as the Miofresh cloth diaper cleanser and biodegradable and flushable mioliner that retains solids and acts as a barrier for wetness. It all works great together to make a complete, workable system! The Bambino Mio Cloth Diaper System also has a three panel construction for maximum absorbency and 24 layers while keeping a nice, snug fit!
More about Bambino Cloth Diapers (taken off their site):
Bambino Mio is the only truly complete cloth diapering system on the market. There was a lot of thought and passion put into the system. The owners, Guy and Jo Schanschieff previously ran a cloth diaper laundry service for 11 years so they really know the ins and outs of a quality “nappy” or as we in the U.S. call it, cloth diapers. After 12 years of continual refinement, Bambino Mio is now the marketing leader in Europe and is currently available in 71 countries.
Benefits for using Bambino Mio includes:
– The Bambino Mio Cloth Nappy system is just as convenient and easy to use as disposable diapers.
– It’s a dry system – meaning no soaking is required. Simply use the nappy bucket and laundry bag to wash nappies every three days.
– Parents have substantial savings -up to $900 per baby using cloth nappies and even more savings with multiple children.
– Less diaper rash.
– Up to six months earlier potty training.
– Reducing carbon footprint by keeping disposables out of landfills.
– Saves on energy – Due to the miofresh antibacterial nappy cleanser, you can wash nappies in cold water.
The interest in cotton nappies is steadily increasing, as more and more parents see the benefits for their babies as well as for the
environment and their wallets. In the US 75 million disposable diapers go to landfills every single day. Using Bambino Mio reusable 100% cotton nappies, proven to be just as convenient as disposables, teach older siblings, friends and family about greener ways. Parents also look for ways to save money. Bambino Mio nappies cut costs approximately in half, compared to disposable diapers. Families with more than one baby save more; using the same long lasting nappies and covers they already have from their first baby.
I am pretty impressed with these cloth diapers. I have never used them before, and I did not know what to expect. So, I had a very
positive experience with these, yeah! I do reccommend these. They are kind of bulky, but are very absorbent and hold in all the stuff it is suppose to hold in 🙂
