This is my Mystic Tan Review. OK, by now you all must know that I love my self tanners. Some are better than others though. I mean some can have horrid smells to them after they “develop” and some not so much. I am constantly on the lookout for the best ones, and yes, I have found some that I will never part with.
Mystic Tan Review
I had the opportunity to try out Mystic Tan, one I have never tried before. So, I was totally curious to see how it would do. When I opened my package, I absolutely LOVED that there was a mitt in there with the Mystic Tan. I had never used a “mitt” before while applying my self tanner, so this was new to me. I always use latex gloves.
I scrubbed myself down in the shower with my mild skin exfoliater (something you ALWAYS want to do before applying self tanners to ensure that perfect bronze glow), and then I applied my Mystic Tan. I received the Build Sunless Tanning Lotion for Face and Body and the Boost Sunless Enhancing Moisturizer for Body. At first I was a bit confused. I did not know what I was suppose to do, so I had to research a bit. But the Build Sunless Tanner is the one you use first to build your tan and the boost is to use after you have used your sunless tanner to boost the color and make it last longer.
So, I started out using the build. Right away I always notice the scent. It smells like sunless tanner. The lotion is brown in color and when it goes on, it blends in quickly and did not leave my skin greasy. When the tan started to develop, it did have the sunless tanning scent to it. The next day my skin did have more color to it, but nothing to deep and dark. I would say just a light tan color. I had to take a shower right away though in the morning because I hate the scent of sunless tanners!
That night I used the boost sunless enhancer moisturizer. I was very pleased to see that it smelled VERY nice! Fruity and yummy. Loved the scent! It was applied to my body like a normal moisturizer, but you should still wear gloves or the mitt that was provided with it. I put it all over my body, except my face. In the morning, it still smelled nice. I have to admit I did not notice really any new darkness or color though. But my skin felt moisturized and nice (self tanners tend to dry out my skin, so this was very nice).
So, my take on this Mystic Tan? I don’t care for the scent that the Build leaves behind, but the tan is nice and not too much or orange looking at all. It looks believable. The Boost is a nice moisturizer to keep your skin supple and soft after using the sunless tanner and it smells nice. They are quality products and I would recommend them to the people who are afraid to self tan.
