Tips for Making Your Car Child-Friendly

It’s the time of year when many of us are making long trips in the car, and finding ways to keep the kids occupied is more important than ever. Why not make the back seat into their very own space? Here are some Tips for Making Your Car Child-Friendly recommending some fun car accessories, how to store toys in the back, and more. With the help of this post, you can create a child-friendly car in time for your summer travels.

Seat covers

First things first, protect your seats against spillage! As we all know, kids can make a mess anywhere and in the back of the car is no exception. Back seat protectors go underneath their car or booster seat to prevent anything from staining your upholstery. They’re easy to fit, easy to remove and easy to wash. Three things which all parents will appreciate!

Storage

There never seems to be enough space in the car for everything you and the kids need to take with you, but in-car storage units make it a lot easier to find a place for your belongings. You need to be comfortable when you travel!

Trunk storage compartments are a great way to keep everything organized, but if you’re looking for something easily accessible from inside the car, hanging storage organizers are a great option. With compartments in different shapes and sizes, you can keep everything you need in one of these storage units which simply hang off the passenger or drivers’ seat.

Snack and Play Travel Tray

The Snack and Play Travel Tray is one of our favorite child-friendly pieces of equipment. With this in the back, they’ll be able to play and eat comfortably, whilst keeping everything in one place. The tray comes with 2 side pockets to keep all of their pens, pencils, and books in whilst they play, and it’s multi-functional; attaching to both car seats and pushchairs.

Unlike a normal lap tray, the Snack and Play Travel Tray collapses in on itself upon impact, so is completely safe. It’s also easy to clean and you won’t have to keep stopping and starting to fetch their out of reach toys.

Sunshades

Rear window sunshades come in all sizes to suit every vehicle and are the best way to keep the sun out of your child’s eyes. You can buy sun shades with fun pictures on them so can combine practicality with fun art which they’ll love to look at. Car sun shades are great if you’re going on a long journey which the kids are likely to nap during. They’ll also minimize heat, keeping them comfortable.

Finally, be prepared!

Ensure you’ve got a large supply of diapers, disposal bags, wipes, and sick bags. You’ll probably already be stocked up if your child suffers from travel sickness, but even if they don’t, it’s a good idea to be prepared.

Take a spare set of clothes for the little ones to change into in case there are any accidents. You might even want to take a spare set for yourself too, just in case! I hope you find these Tips for Making Your Car Child-Friendly, helpful!
