Online Piano Lessons For Free

Are you musical? Is someone in your family musical? I have many nieces and nephews (yep, we have a huge family!), who are extremely gifted when it comes to being musical. Whether it be singing, playing the drums, guitar or piano, they amaze me with their musical abilities.

Me on the other hand, not so much. I can sing a little and I did play the flute in middle school, but other than that, no way! I wish I could though!

One thing I always wanted to learn and have my kids learn is the piano. I love how it sounds and how it makes me feel when I hear others play it.

With the help of Hoffman Academy, me and my kids were able to learn a lot about piano’s and how to play! I received a code to download piano lessons. I also received a very thorough guide, explaining how to play the piano and it even had little activities to do to teach you the notes and all that fun stuff. It was so much fun to do and my oldest son and daughter learned right along with me!

The helpful guide (that you can print out for a fee), was so informative. It taught me the keys on the piano and the notes to play. I am not completely familiar with everything just yet, but me and my kids are getting there! It has been such a fun journey so far!

How Does It Work?

There are 5-10 minute video lessons, taught by Joseph Hoffman (MM), can be found at www.HoffmanAcademy.com. While every single video lesson on the website is free, there is a charge to download activity pages, sheet music, practice instructions and an mp3 listening album which corresponds to the lessons.

The series of 120 free video piano lessons guide students, step-by-step, through each new song and concept. Designed for beginners with no prior experience, the lessons quickly enable you to play songs successfully, starting with the very first lesson!

Piano instructor Joseph Hoffman is adept at making even the most tricky concepts simple, memorable, and fun. They have heard great feedback from hundreds of parents and kids that they love Mr. Hoffman’s teaching style and creative, streamlined approach to learning piano.

Each lesson is between 5 and 15 minutes—easy to fit in on any schedule, and the ideal length for keeping attention and focus high. Kids and adults alike love using technology to learn and the feeling of being able to control their own learning pace.

Each lesson includes specific practice instructions and target goals to help students know what to focus on in between lessons. Consistent practicing is key to skill development, and Mr. Hoffman regularly encourages his online students to practice every day.

Mr. Hoffman also shares tips on how to get the most out of your practice time. Using Hoffman Academy is like having your teacher right at home helping you every day. If practice isn’t going as smoothly as you would like, you can go back and review the video lesson as many times as needed. Whenever the target goals are met, students can proceed to the next lesson. You can proceed as fast or as slow as you like!

Students can make the most of their learning by using the Complete Materials, which include learning activity pages, sheet music, and MP3 tracks. The Complete Materials correspond with each lesson, and will help supplement, reinforce, and deepen your learning.

The MP3 Listening Tracks allows students to hear and familiarize themselves with each song they learn. This provides a professional model for students to follow, and makes it easier to hear, identify and self-correct when they make a mistake.

The MP3 Practice Tracks provide fun background accompaniments that students can “jam” along with as they review the songs they have mastered. Students love this opportunity to sound like a real pro!

This is a great resource for parents and homeschoolers, providing quality piano lessons in the comfort of your own home!

This question went to the dvd giveaway. My grandchildren watch Paw Patrol. We also have a few children in our family that are musically gifted. My 12 year old plays electric guitar. We were told he has a gift to play just about anything. So would love to try this too!

I think the question is wrong but she will watch them if there is nothing else on…she is a little too old for them now! She has been asking for piano lessons though! 🙂

I don’t have any little ones, however, I took piano lessons for 10 years as a child and teenager. I even composed and improvised. Over the years, I have not played so I’ve forgotten how to play. I would like these lessons so that I can learn again and get back to composing and improvising. I’m going to be buying a Yamaha digital keyboard, so I’m really looking forward to playing again.
