One thing I do NOT like to think about is money, when I rarely have it to spend in the first place! Sure, I wish I had a TON of it to do with what I please, but lets face it, that will not happen anytime soon! Ugh..
But, one way to get a lump of money, is to SAVE it. I know, that is hard to do, especially with little kids and a money hungry hubs, sigh. Everyone wants something and mama is left with no money 
Shopping for Bank Accounts IS possible and saving money IS possible. You just have to find the right bank and the right account for YOU and your family.
I prefer a secret account just for ME. For emergencies, like a quick mani or pedi or even a quick color on my crazy looking hair. You know, those kinds of emergencies… 😉 Every mama NEEDS one of those accounts!
You can certainly compare bank accounts to get a better deal. It IS possible!! I went to a few banks that charged more then a couple other ones and I went from there. No time like the present to get your secret account, start putting money away in it, for a rainy day!! Mama has to have something to fall back on too 😉
Any money I earn I put away, and yes, it does dwindle quite quickly because we do need things, but, I do try to always have some money for me and for things that I want too. I would not be too happy if I did not have my own money to spend, once in a while. That would suck not to have any to treat yourself with, once in a blue moon…
Like I said, sure I am broke beyond measure, but I still have a TINY bit of money I can grab if needed. What about YOU? Do you have a good bank account that does not charge you much and that you can dip into when you need/want to?

I do have my own account with my own money. I use it for mainly that “girly” stuff for me and my daughter. One less thing the hubby has to worry about.

I have a very small savings account that doesn’t have so many fees, its actually pretty nice. Credit unions are a great place to have an account.

We have a good bank account that doesn’t charge any monthly fees. I don’t have my own secret account though! LOL But on the flip side neither does dh! 🙂 In fact I’m the one in charge of the banking and paying bills so he usually doesn’t even know how much is in there unless I tell him!

my bank doesnt have a annual fee an if you keep a certain amount in it you can get free copies,cashiers checks an a few other perks

We have a joint savings and a joint checking account but I also have my Paypal account and Paypal debit card which totally serves as a private account just for me. Although I use it for numerous things including our monthly car payment, vacation fund, etc. I make the money in it and I spend the money in it!
