I am sure we all know Father’s Day is just around the bend (wasn’t it JUST Mother’s Day???), and the weather, for some, is starting to heat up! We just moved into our new home and now we have a beautiful deck to eat our grilled food on, so this was a real treat for us! The burgers are so delicious. We grilled them up on Sunday. Me and hubby cooked up two of the burgers and the kids got to eat the hot dogs. The hot dogs (or gourmet franks), were very good. My kids loved them. They are a very nice size and very plump and juicy. My kids ate half of them and had to save the rest for later because they were a bit too much for them. Next time I will let them share just one! The burgers are very tasty and juicy too. Just add your choice of condiments and you are all set! We added chips, potatoe salad and baked beans to our meal and it was perfect!

Strawberry Kiwi Aquafina FlavorSplash and Coupons!

This week, I was sent the delicious Strawberry Kiwi Aquafina FlavorSplash water and it is so good! It arrived a bit later then the norm, but it is here!! Woot! This is my favorite flavor so far. The first week, I received the Wild Berry, second week Lemon and this week the Strawberry Kiwi. They are ALL good but I love this one the best so far!
Now, for a question:
So, how do you get your kids to eat more fruits? Well, for me that is simple. I always use some kind of flavored yogurt with fruit for my kids. I cut up the fruit to little bite sized pieces and add a dollop of yogurt to dip it in. My kids LOVE this and usually eat the fruit up and the yogurt!

Relastin Skin Care and Philip Pelusi Hair Product Review & Giveaway!

I love reviewing beauty products and hair products are just as fun for me (since I have SOOOO much hair!). I was able to review Relastin, a skin care product and Philip Pelusi Moisturesheen shampoo and the Potion Sun Guard and Groom serum.
The MoistureSheen Shampoo is VERY moisturizing and has a lot of suds to it. You only need a little to go a long way. You leave it in your hair for 1 minute, then rinse and follow with your conditioner as needed. When I got out of the shower I used the Potion. It is like a serum and you just add some to your hands, rub them together and put it in your hair for a smoothing effect. I like the subtle scent it has which is a very light floraly scent. And the shampoo has a fruity light scent. Nice and I am pleased with these products. My hair today is very soft and manageable.
The Relastin makes your skin firmer, smoother, more elastic. It has no scent and is good for all skin types. It is a cream so it is thicker, but it goes on lightly, if that makes sense, and does not make my skin greasy. I am very greasy through my t zone area, so I don’t add much there, but it does not make me break out, so I am happy with this product. It smooths out my lines and makes my face appear moisturized and fresh looking. I use this every morning and night as well as on my neck and chest area too.
How Relastin Works
Elastin explained. Elastin is a protein in your skin that makes it smooth again after contracting and stretching. Your skin virtually stops producing elastin in adolescence (just when things were starting to get good!). I was given the opportunity to review a book called “Misconception” One Couple’s Journey from Embryo Mix-Up to Miracle Baby. Just the title had me intrigued. I swear I read this book in one week. It was so interesting.
It is about a couple whose frozen embryos were transferred into another woman with the same last name! It is amazing to read about the journey that both women and families went through, to bring this baby safely into this world. So many sacrifices and later, great friendships were made. This is definitely a must read and hard to put down book.

This extraordinary story made national news in September 2009 after the initial error was discovered and both families were interviewed on NBC’s Today Show. Chicken breast with Mushroom Gravy on Noodles!

So, I must say I did it again I made a very delicious dinner that everyone loved! Yeah! Oh, and I made it by scratch! It was so good!
How to make it…
2 skinless boneless chicken breasts
1 cup of water
spaghetti noodles, however many you need
Package of mushroom gravy (or any kind of gravy you have on hand)
1 can of mushrooms
minced garlic (I use the canned kind you find in the produce section of the super market)
Johnny’s Salt
1 Can of green beans
*Cut up chicken how you like it and brown it in pan. Add garlic and Johnny’s Salt to taste. Add packet of gravy mix and cup of water and stir. In the meantime be cooking the spaghetti noodles. Let the chicken and gravy cook on low and add the can of mushrooms. Strain noodles and serve the sauce over the noodles with a side of the green beans! YUM! My kids both loved it as did my hubby and I! Enjoy!
