Nothing is more important than keeping your little ones safe. When my little ones are out of my site, I feel very nervous and get anxiety. I feel like I have to constantly be looking in the room they are in, because you just never know…

When I received the Safety 1st Sound Moments Audio Monitor, I was excited to give it a try. I wanted to use this in the toy room downstairs, so that I can have the piece of mind, hearing my kids playing and if I hear a little cry, I can go see what is up.

This monitor has a 600 foot range and has a very handy belt clip on the tops of them, so I can easily carry the parent device with you, if need be. It is just a great peace of mind for me. This monitor allows you to keep an ear out for your little ones, throughout the day, especially if they are like my kids and like to venture around the house!

If you have a really really little one, you can put the parent monitor easily on your nightstand, next to your bed and keep an ear out for those nightly wails of your new baby. I usually have my newborn right next to me, but when they are a bit older, like 8 months or so, I will then have them in their own cribs, so this monitor will come in handy for when I do have another baby! It will help me sleep so much better, I am sure!

The baby unit, emits a comforting glow for baby, to soothe and help baby get comfy. It is a tap on and auto off type of light, which is really nice! I don’t have to remember to go and turn it off when I am comfy in bed :) This comforting light is also great for when you want to go and peek at your sleeping baby, but don’t want to turn on any bright lights. Simply tap on the light button on the top of the baby unit and you can see your child perfectly without waking or rousing him/her.

Cooking for Fussy Eaters

If you’re keen to cook fresh, healthy meals, but find yourself struggling to cater for a family of fussy eaters, then don’t despair. There are plenty of things you can do to ensure that you are still able to cook meals that everyone will enjoy.

Firstly, you will need to find out exactly what those who you are cooking for do not want to eat. It is often a far better idea to suggest alternatives to these food, rather than simply to encourage people to try ‘just a little bit’ of a food which they are adamant they don’t like. For example, if you are cooking for someone who is certain that they don’t like carrots, then why not try and offer them the slightly sweeter alternative of parsnips instead? If you can’t think of any meals which require parsnips, then simply browse for new recipes next time you check your emails, or play online games of FoxyBingo. You’re sure to find new ways to be inventive with foods which you may not usually think of using, in order to create a wide range of delicious dishes which everyone will enjoy.

You should also think about adding flavourful sauces and seasonings to the foods which you make, as this can help to disguise any tastes which those you are cooking for might not naturally enjoy. For example, if you are cooking a meal for those who don’t usually like fish, then why not put it in a fish pie? Covered in a creamy saucy with parsley seasoning and topped with cheesy potato, even the fussiest eater are likely to be tempted.

Lastly, one of the best ways to make sure fussy eaters are keen to tuck in is to involve them in the cooking. Everyone loves sampling their latest culinary creation, so if you’re keen to get those who you are cooking for to eat more healthy, then it can be a great idea to involve them in the preparation process.
