How To Decide Which Car Is Right For You
When I was younger, I was a sedan kind of guy. My four-door sedan in high school was perfect, so I continued the tradition as I transitioned to parenthood. Suddenly, I realized what I had been dreading my entire life: I needed a minivan.
I felt like a big part of my masculinity died when I made that realization (though, rest assured, I’m doing just fine now). In fact, I love my minivan. It just took a few trips to the grocery store and a few times putting my child in a car seat when I realized that this was the car for me and my family.
My sister, however, kept that promise of never getting a minivan. She had 6 children, and she opted instead for an SUV. That was just the kind of car that she and her husband enjoyed, so more power to them. The space and versatility of an SUV can’t be beaten (and let’s be honest: they look cooler than a minivan… though they don’t have sliding doors which are sooo convenient).
Then there’s my bachelor friend. He has a Dodge Camaro and it’s absolutely gorgeous. For his single lifestyle (and I don’t think this guy will ever get married), it’s the perfect car. It’s powerful, it’s nice to look at, and it’s dependable. It’s truly the perfect car for him.
