STEMpowerkids: Empower Your Child In Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math
We all know as parents, during the summer months, kids don’t really do as much other than play, play, play! But hey, they are kids and kids NEED to be.. KIDS!
But, I also try to incorporate learning experiences for my children, when they are not in school. I know I should do more, but hey, I am trying.
STEMpowerkids is a great way to get those creative brains flowing. They are monthly subscription boxes sent to you and they each contain fun ways for your child to learn!
We were sent a box with several different fun activities for the kids to do. We had some friends over, and the kids each got to try out some fun experiments! I love this box, I really do. I like it because it literally comes with everything you will need, to do each fun activity/experiment.
We received all the dry goods, measuring cups and spoons, bottles, booklets and more! It was just refreshing to see that I did not have to provide much extra, to execute these fun experiments! I just read the directions and pointed the kids in the right direction, the rest, the kids did. It was so hands on and just FUN!
The kids had so much fun with each other and with making their experiments, learning and having fun together. I am totally impressed with these boxes, I even had a blast with it!
About STEMpowerkids:
Founded by a neuroscientist dad and a former teacher mom, STEMpowerkids was inspired by efforts to accelerate the learning of their three-year-old son.
STEMpowerkids is an education technology company and our mission is to empower young people in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (“STEM”). At STEMpowerkids, our goal is to attract more kids to the STEM subjects and also to improve performance by cultivating stronger roots in STEM! Studies show that children introduced to STEM educational resources at a young age perform better in science and math than those who are not.

We do Khan Academy for math and science, they read by themselves every day, and we have our own reading program where they earn money toward new (or used books), plus we participate in the library’s summer reading program. This year our summer project was reading the Little House on the Prairie books together, and we’ve been finding fun outdoor projects such as finding shark teeth on the beach.
