Nothing is worse than feeling unsafe or threatened and being all alone! Been there, done that and never want to be in a place like that again. I am sure none of us would want to be in that kind of place.
I was able to check out a brand new company and app called Real Agent Guard. What I have learned (and experienced) so far, is pretty neat and I wanted to share my thoughts with you!
What Is Real Agent Guard?
Real Agent Guard was designed to protect real estate agents from threats in the industry. It is the only security system designed for agencies (not just individual agents). But, this program is not just for Real Estate Agents, it is for anyone who wants to feel safe when they are out and about. With a great app that lets you ‘check in‘ with your loved ones to a video surveillance, anyone can feel safer using Real Agent Guard.
Red – agents. Blue – friends and family. Green – enterprise.
If the agent fails to login after a small amount of time, it alerts someone who calls them to check in.
If something does go wrong, they can forward all info to the police
Using this app, you can snap pictures and send them, set a timer to stay safe and if you don’t check in, others will be notified and more.
The Real Agent Guard agent safety app lets you login in seconds and gives you some great and easy-to-use tools for staying safe while showing properties. With photo uploads, panic buttons, real-time GPS in emergencies, and much more, you are bound to feel safer, instantly!
I was sent login information, so I did not go through the whole ordering process of getting the Real Agent Guard. My it was easy to set up for the most part and soon, me and my hubby were using the Real Agent Guard app on our phones.
While setting up our app (iOS and Android smartphones), we both watched the helpful videos before getting started. The videos made it easy for us to get setup and soon we were looking at our locations on our phone. We set up the timer for our ‘check-ins’ and I missed one, just to see what would happen. Well, an alarm on my laptop kept going off and going off! So that certainly worked! I would have not been alone for too long, if that had been a real-time emergency as that alarm would have alerted my hubby ASAP!
Then me and hubby set up our FailSafe PIN (has to be different from your first pin you put in at the beginning) and we also set up the ‘Panic Button‘ And the ‘Bailout Button‘. These are optional to set up. When these buttons are set up correctly, they will be displayed on the bottom of your map screen.
The FailSafe PIN can be used if someone is trying to force the agent to logout or reset their timer. The app acts like everything is normal (trust me, I tried it and the app looked completely normal!!) but sends alerts to Monitors, to immediately contact law enforcement with the Tracker information. If your signal was lost, there is now an approximate last known address that law enforcement can go by, because seconds could mean everything. It is important to keep agent safety in mind at all times.
The Bailout Button allows the agent to press and hold for three seconds to call any designated contact that you programmed in at the beginning when you set this app up. This is a convenience feature that makes it easy for the agent to excuse themselves from a situation where they may be uncomfortable. Of course I put in my hubby’s number and he put in mine and we both tried it out and it worked like a charm.

The Family and Friends version of the app was just released!!
Yes it is true! Real Agent Guard rolled out the Friends and Family App! This app works exactly like the Monitor App, but is meant for people outside the agency team (like friends and family!). Agents have to invite people to monitor them, using this app. The cost is $4.99 a month and Friends And Family App users can monitor up to four agents!
