How To Feel Better During Cold And Flu Season
I try and have all the necessities on hand, just in case. One of the things I always have on hand is cough drops! Coughing sucks, so anything that relieves a cough is good in my book. I try to prep our medicine cabinets and stock up on cold remedies for the winter.
Ricola, the leading manufacturer of soothing herb drops from Switzerland, has added a new product to its line of uniquely effective and delicious herb drops – Extra Strength for powerful cough relief – making it easy for you to find Chruterchraft! Say wha???
Chruterchraft is Swiss for Ricola’s secret magical blend of 10 herbs that is in every cough drop. It stands for efficacy and enjoyment, incorporating all of the Ricola values into one word.
All Ricola products are created using naturally cultivated farming methods and contain no pesticides, herbicides, artificial colorings or flavorings. So, Ricola is definitely in our medicine cabinet this year!
How To Feel Better During Cold And Flu Season
1. Drink plenty of fluids!!!
2. Sleep as often as you can
3. If you can, try and sip some hot soup or bone broth
4. Ask for help!!!
5. Take a warm bath with Epsom salts
6.Drink hot tea
7. Take Elderberry Syrup several times a day
8. Take Colloidal silver (we use this one)
9. Apple Cider Vinegar is also great for bringing down a fever. Soak a cloth in diluted ACV and put on your forehead, stomach or wrap around your feet. You can also use lavender oil in water and soak a rag in it and put it on the places I mentioned above.
10. Make the tried and true Apple Cider Vinegar drink
11. Boiron Oscillococcinum: Oscillococcinum works with your body to help temporarily relieve fatigue, headache, body aches, chills & fever. Safe for ages 2 & up, take at the first sign of flu-like symptoms.
12. Manuka Honey for sore throats
13. Vitamin C
14. Protect yourself where possible, especially if you need to go out. Getting protective face masks may result in a few raised eyebrows, but in countries like China, nobody bats an eyelid! If you’re traveling on public transport a lot, you should protect your nose and mouth from breathing in all those germs.
Of course, use your common sense and always consult with your doctor, if your fever is persistent or you are feeling worse after a couple of days.
Those are just some things I do when I am feeling under the weather. What things do you do, to help you or your family members feel better when they have a cold or flu?
